the food was nice but it took a long time to get served and I had no where to sit so I ate in the toilet. the toilet wasn't clean aswell and it smelt bad. they had limited options for drinks but the food was nice.

I didn't like this restaurant because when I ordered, it took a long time and there was no place to sit. When my order was ready, I had to stand and eat. I didn't enjoy the food.

Their grilled chicken was alright and the other food was about below average, however their popcorn chicken smelt and the tasted like chemicals, comparable to the smell of exposed electricity burning rubber wires, they definitely don?t store or cook there food in a good-standard way don?t eat here if you don?t want cancer or some other disease

I?ve given this Chicken Cottage location more than one chance, and every time I?ve eaten their fried chicken or chips, I?ve experienced the same disturbing symptoms: tightening of the throat, chest discomfort, and a sensation like something is stuck in my throat shortly after eating.
This isn?t a one-off reaction ? it?s a consistent issue, suggesting there may be something seriously wrong with the quality of oil used, food preparation hygiene, or the ingredients. These symptoms are not only uncomfortable but potentially dangerous for anyone with mild sensitivities or underlying conditions.
The food itself tastes overly greasy, with a chemical aftertaste, raising concerns about reused oil or poor food storage. It's unacceptable in 2025 to be serving food that causes physical distress.
For your own health and safety, I?d strongly advise avoiding this branch until they drastically improve their hygiene standards and ingredient sourcing. I've had fast food from other places with zero issues, so the problem seems isolated to this specific location.
Disappointing, concerning, and not worth the risk.

Of what's apparently a Rudi's burger, according to Deliveroo. Who are refusing to provide a refund. I still have the dry chicken I was sent instead of the smash burger I ordered from Rudi's burger. At least now I also know to never order from this place. There was no reference to any chicken cottage on Deliveroo. A reminder note to everyone, you should google the address of all restaurants on these apps, because 75% seem to be something else. Will raise awareness until Deliveroo, and or the restaurant rectifies the situation. Order no 5443

Chicken cottage is a staple and great fried chicken shop on the high road. Inexpensive and always fresh in my experience. Great location as it's perfect for leaving the train and sitting down with a hot cheaper meal than the party farty cafe's when you're hungry after a long journey but don't want to break the bank.

This chicken shop I believe is one of the best ones in London. Very delicious I?ve been a couple times and will be going back again.
