I?ve had a very disappointing experience with CeX, particularly with the Kilburn branch and their customer support team.
I visited the store to complete a trade-in that was clearly listed on their website at a specific value. After an initial quote was given, the staff backtracked and refused the transaction based on inconsistent reasoning that did not match CeX?s own published policies.
When I raised the issue with customer service, I found myself caught in a frustrating loop. Despite providing all the requested information?more than once?I received vague, repetitive replies that ignored the key points I had raised. I was asked for excessive details that other stores were able to confirm instantly, which made the experience feel arbitrary and, frankly, unfair.
Even after formally raising a complaint, the same representative continued to respond without acknowledging the seriousness of the situation or addressing my concerns directly. It feels like they are just stalling rather than resolving anything.
This experience has raised serious questions about how CeX enforces its own policies, the training of its staff, and how it treats customers who raise valid issues. I?m now considering external escalation, as I?ve had no success resolving this internally.
CeX needs to take customer feedback and complaints more seriously, and ensure consistency across its stores.

O out of 5 stars .. Ive been shopping with CEX for years (Tottenham Court Road) for years , and have a cuboard full of failed HDD and other periferals. Avoid at all costs and shop online, but not at their online shops, they are just ridiculous prices, I pass the shop and look at the prices and Im laughing in the street. People think Im mad, but the prices are crazy, and PS: No refunds on second hand goods which their inventory is 100% second hand goods... dont waste your money!. Oh and yeah there are good branches of CEX Camden is a good one and Bayswater is another.

Popped into CEX Kilburn recently to have a look at some phones, and I was really impressed with the service. I have to give a special shoutout to Omar, who was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. He took the time to walk me through all the different options, answered all my questions patiently, and made the whole experience so much easier. It?s not often you get that kind of genuine help without being rushed or pressured.
Omar clearly knows his stuff and was more than happy to help me compare models and talk through what would suit my needs best. Thanks to him, I left feeling confident about my choice and really happy with the service I received.
Massive thanks again to Omar ? if you?re looking for tech and want friendly, knowledgeable help, definitely ask for him. Top top top guy!!

Shocking experience. Staff asked me to go home to grab my own camera as they didn't have their own to test the lens I wanted to sell, which is already unprofessional. After coming back with this lug of a camera and paying for that travel because of their own mishap, they then tell me that they can't accept the lens in its condition as they suddenly found a camera in the back. Disappointing...

Served by a rude guy, with sunglasses on (???) and a toothbrush in his mouth (???) literally shouted ?next? when I was only person there and was really hard to interact with at the till, maybe because I couldn?t even see his eyes, as well as his overall demeanour
