I made use of the Click and Collect service for the One-Way GTX Flames which also needed to be cut to size in store. Was easy enough to pickup the poles but getting them cut correctly was a bit erratic. An OK experience this time around but in the early days the staff here seemed a bit more 'pro'.

Visited the Kensington High Street W8 store on 18 January with my husband to purchase Salomon walking shoes. Only one very helpful male staff member on duty in that department, dealing with at least 5 other customers. Nothing was too much trouble for him, patiently checking stocks and sizes for each customer in turn, all with good grace and efficiency. My husband's size was not available so he ordered it from another store and they were delivered to our home in Devon yesterday. Think he went over and above the call of duty, what a little gem he is, definitely deserves a bonus!

Had my ski boots fitted by Andrius (Andros? not sure it?s spelt) but he was brilliant. Very professional and quick and they fit perfectly. Great guy, would recommend him to anyone who needs help with ski boots!

Don?t bother, staff here is incredibly unhelpful and lazy. There are two other stores next to this one that you should go to instead.

Needed expert advice shoes for hiking. Also have some non medical but comfort related issues when it comes to buying shoes. A staff member called Andrius gave me outstanding customer care. He took time to make sure my precise needs were met, going to store room to fetch yet another pair of boots until a pair that perfectly matched my needs were found. He also gave me advice on accessories to enhance the item I initially wanted to purchase. He was unfailingly patient, kind and polite. I?d been dreading this shopping chore as buying shoes that fit properly is often a bit of a nightmare situation. Andrius turned that nightmare into the dream of my finding the perfect shoes for my needs. I shall certainly be recommending this shop to friends and family for expert advice and fitting for shoes for sports and outdoor activities??

Having shopped at Snow+Rock stores previously I was very disappointed with the service (or lack there of) received at the Kensington store. It?s a bit of a mess. Not once was I asked whether I needed any help with my purchase/selection despite multiple staff members walking by throughout my approx 60 mins in store. When enquiring about pricematching I was rather abruptly slapped with a list of stores that they would match with, whilst the male staff member looked rather displeased with the suggestion of having to do extra work (pricematching). The whole experience left a rather poor taste in my mouth so ended up leaving the store not spending the in excess of £1k original planned purchase. I will not shop at this store again.
