We are a small business and were referred to Metrobank by our accountant. When they first opened, the service was excellent, with convenient opening hours and reliable support. Unfortunately, over the years, the quality of service has declined significantly.
Recently, for three consecutive weeks, a technical fault on Metrobank?s side prevented me from accessing our online account. Despite numerous phone calls and repeated in-person visits to the bank, the issue remains unresolved. Each day I have to chase Metrobank staff just to keep the support ticket active, which is extremely frustrating and disruptive.
To make matters worse, I am currently abroad and still cannot access our accounts. This forces me to manage payments over the phone and pay expensive external call charges simply to keep the business running.
After 11 years as a customer, I can confidently say that Metrobank?s service has deteriorated year after year. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Metrobank to any other business looking for reliable banking services.

Visited Metro Bank Kensington High Street on Thursday, 10th July around 2pm. I witnessed a woman having her bank card snatched inside the branch while using the cash machine. There was no security present, It felt very unsafe. Shocking this happened inside a bank.

Unprofessional .. over familiar .. not really even interested in doing their job or helping customers .. seemed to just be waiting for their shift to end .. gave up and went to the Mayfair branch where they are professional

The only two advantages Metro bank had over its rival challenger banks Nd traditional banks to me was that it was open at weekends and it printed cards off in store. Those facilities have now been removed. The lack of integration with third party product now becomes the tipping point for finding a new bank.

Absolutely ridiculous phone call assistance. Instead of speaking to a real person they have now replaced with a 'virtual' assistant who does not understand my issue and cannot resolve it and now I have to take time out of my very busy schedule to sort it in person. Absolutely ridiculous.

I have been a long term customer of this bank, not this branch in particular but Metro Bank. They are still very good and staff are friendly. I had an issue with my card, popped in to the store and they sorted it out for me.

I have no words to express how bad the service of this bank and in particular this specific agency has .
After requesting a physical token, my mom (which is a person of age) was forced to change the account service package for a more expensive one ( just to access a physical validation device)
The attendant COMPLETELY forgot to mention she would loose access to the account completely......
By loosing access to the account now she cannot access the bank statements and for consequence cannot communicate with her accountant , payments are being made in this account and she cannot access the money to pay for her bills, the agency staff refused to give her a digital copy of the statements causing the company financials losses topping more then 400£.
This is a disrespect with clients and unacceptable

I love the coin option which is worth the 3+ star rating and makes it fun for children who are trying to save! But one star for customer service as we came in today to open an account for my husband, and English is his 2nd language. A rude Metro bank employee basically said no translators, which is ludicrous and discriminatory. Where in the modern world are you not able to bring in a translator (who happens to be family), especially if one doesn?t understand 100% what the person is explaining!? Crazy nonsensical rules, especially in a multicultural city like London.
