Came here yesterday for a family birthday meal. Abit of a wait to order and also empty plates were left on the table for over 30 minutes after finishing BUT the restaurant was extremely busy at the time. The food was tasty, most of us had roasts which were lovely and we all enjoyed our afternoon.

Great service as always, never had a bad meal here. Sunday Roasts are worth every penny. Great atmosphere.

Pub looks great. Lovely Christmassy atmosphere. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Would have liked a bit more awareness of when we were ready to order. Food was tasty. Will definitely be back.

I reserved an area in the pub for 30 friends to remember my brother, who died ten years ago. We have been coming here for events over ten years now - Christmas lunches, birthdays, my brother's wake and numerous events to remember him by - either in the pub, in the garden or in the marquee they put up in the winter. The staff are always helpful and welcoming, and it's always a pleasure to come here.

Although normally very good, this visit was disappointing for two reasons, the first of which was probably out of the control of the management, It was very noisy in the main dining room caused by a table of 14. The floor surface in the dining area is hard (wood?) which accentuates the volume. So difficult to hold a conversation with my guest. The second reason was the number of items on the menu that they had run out of which severely limited the choices available. On the positive side the service as always was very good.

Have not been to coach and horses for quite some time so decided to try the Sunday roast. couldn?t fault a thing it was absolutely delicious starters were lovely as well. don?t normally have dessert, but we decided to have a fig and pear crumble which was not as I expected although the fruit tasted nice. It was served in a bowl in the juices of the fruit, with a bit of crumble on top served with ice cream, I thought it was a bit of a let down by the time I had the second spoon, the ice cream had melted into it, to be honest it just looked like a plate of slop. It was very sickening I couldn?t eat it, it was the only thing that let the experience down., the filling would?ve been better on a shortcrust pastry base with a crumble topping, served in a slice. I would go back again as meal was lovely. The staff were lovely and they did take off the desert off my bill. But definitely the desert menu needs to be a bit more appealing..

Went to watch the Rugby World Cup Final. Looked like no other rugby fans in pub on our side (lounge), but we had a great time, and eventually others were involved in the game. Barman made sure TV was loud enough and kept making sure we were happy. Dinner was lovely, burgers and fish & chips. Nothing in dessert menu appealed to me but my friends loved the bread and butter pudding. Prices a little higher than other pubs in area, but we still will be back. A beautiful pub.

The service was very good and the food was excellent definitely will be coming back. The Sunday lunch was sooo good definitely recommend the roast beef

My mother loved coming here for lunch and Sunday dinners and new years eve.. so it was fitting to have her send off party here. The food was great and we had a screen showing all our photos and memories of mum . Music and a sing song.. the manager was lovely.. easy to book highly recommend for any event.. Mum would of loved it ...Thank you so much ??

It?s been a long time since I have visited and after today?s Sunday lunch, I will be back again very soon to try the rest of the menu.Food was very good beef cooked perfectly potatoes and Yorkshire pudding just needed a little bit longer but didn?t spoil the meal.Service was very quick just what you need and friendly staff. Not as busy as I would have thought with the rugby being on but other than that great location and friendly staff. You must pop in and try the selection of food.
