Fantastic place! They still do good old fat chips. The food is always fresh and tasty. I really like the hot wings from here which are unique. The service is always on point.

Quality above average, I am wary of places offering kebab + fish&chips but this one is clean and reliable. Portions are generous, especially fish fillets' size.
Notes: no card machine in sight, like for many traders nearby, cash is preferred, (ATM at Post Office is quite close); no seats to dine in and, as far as I am aware, it is not available on any delivery app.

Captains Table has been one of my favourite food spots in Chrisp Street Market for many years. As a regular customer, I always feel welcomed by the friendly and well-behaved staff. Their warm hospitality makes every visit a pleasant experience.
I believe Captains Table is one of the oldest shops in the market. While I think the ownership may have changed over time, please correct me if I?m mistaken, the quality of food and service has remained consistently good.
I often go there for their Doner kebab, which is served in generous portions. Their hot wings are also delicious and reasonably priced. The shop can get quite busy during lunchtime, which speaks to its popularity.
Sometimes I go for a quarter or half-pounder burger, they make really tasty burgers. During my lunch breaks, whenever I crave a Doner or a burger, Captains Table is my go-to place.
I hope Captains Table continues to serve the community with their delicious food. Being in the heart of such a diverse area, I also hope they engage more in local community activities, supporting those in need, including the homeless and those who struggle to afford food.
I wish the business all the best and hope it continues to grow and serve the residents of Chrisp Street with great food and service

I have been coming to this fish & chip takeaway restaurant for a number of years, the food has been immaculate & the price were pretty steep, but the potions was good. When i did happen to go in the shop with my mum the service was absolutely Amazing, spoke to my mum as if she was his mother, but when i got there now with my daughter & my daughters the service is absolutely disgusting as if he did not recognize me and he spoke to myself & my mothers daughter as if they do not want to cook the food and as if they did not want our service, moving forward i will not be going to this shop no more due to the inconsistent customer service.

Chips were alright, medium cod was big but had zero taste. I asked for salt and vinegar, he didn't put any on chips. Forgot my order aswell. Gundu people these days ?????

Nothing but great things to say about this place! Staff are amazing and very friendly. The food is always fresh, portions are huge and the hot wings are to die for! Just look at the pic I included of their large fish (large being an understatement). Best of all is the price, excellent value.

This place is a hidden gem, loved by the locals. Fish and chips are great but the stand out for me is their chicken wings, unlike any other wings I've had, they have a unique flavour profile and look to them. To summarise, this place is comfort food on a cold soggy day.

Had the doner on its own no salad and no chips but just mayo and chili. Yammed it all down. Its delicious. And the wings, I need to know the recipe asap coz it?s banging. Also it?s halal.
