Worse experience ever. I attended a eye test and OTC scan and was surprise about the way the specs saver was run. I was advised prior not to go specs saver as they are known to have one of the worst customer service experience and this was the case in this branch. There were delays as the there were 2 optometrist off sick which is possible not a surprise given how the service is run. The experience felt like I was part of a conveyor belt at supermarket. If you need something cheap, quick and an inaccurate eye test go to specs saver but if you need a accurate eye test and better customer service experience go to a independent optician.

My experience at this specsaver was wonderful. Especially with the help of Nirmal, he was very patient, informative and friendly, and made me feel very comfortable whilst dealing with my glasses. He was also very handy when helping me with some issues I had with the fitting of my glasses.

My experience is excellent and very happy.But reading glass were good but the anti reflection glasses were not good, Already I gave them, says the it?s would send lab and Look at the glasses correctly! Otherwise car driving so risky. But their service is excellent.

This place needs to be avoided, it?s no longer how it used to be. I?m leaving my review as I have contacted the ilford store as well as through the complaints and haven?t received a response.This store is now a doss place for young people who seem to be the age of 18, with 0 knowledge. My respect to this store has gone. I came to the store a couple or so weeks ago, this was due to the fact that I had my glasses for around a year, under two years, and the arm had come off, with the hinge still intact. This has never happened to me before.When I attended the store there was a young Somali male staff member who assisted me, I told him the arm had come off and without taking any of my details he said a new pair had to be made. I requested it to be taped for the mean time and left the store as I was in a rush.I went again a week later after doing research and saw that the store offers to repair and replace glasses at no extra cost within two years of purchase. As I mentioned above I had it for around a year and a half. When I attended a week later, there was a lady at the front receptionist Bengali hijabi, who also said we had to pay for a new frame. We had to request several times for her to take our details down to look at my account, she then proceeded to say she didn?t know how to even locate a customers account and didn?t know any basic knowledge and went to look for another staff member.When she returned with the staff member, he was Asian either Pakistani or Bengali, with brown ring on his pinky ( I do not know their names hence why I?m having to describe ) he approached me and my family in a very aggressive rude tone, he also said a new paid had to be purchased. And then proceeded to say he?ll offer half price as goodwill when I did not even need the entire glasses repaired, so did not make sense as to why he would ask a full charge.I then questioned him and asked do they not do the free of charge repairs within two years of purchase, he said no, I then said it says it clearly on your website, he himself also wasn?t even aware of this as he asked me to show him as though as I made it up. When I showed him the website he kept moving the screen making sure it wasn?t a screenshot, again behaving as though I made it up. After he read it he said they only offer it to customers who didn?t break it on purpose, meaning he insinuated and accused I broke it myself. My mother then asked him how would he know if we broke it purself, he said the hinge would be off and he doesn?t want to check mine as I had tape on there and he didn?t want to take it off as an excuse. I gave him my glasses and said you?re more than welcome to take the tape off. He then said the hinge is off, when it clearly was not, the hinge is still attached. Again; this has never happened to my glasses before.He then was very aggressive and rude, and we had said we?re better off going elsewhere if we won?t be helped, he basically had told us to leave and it?s fine to go elsewhere.I spoke to a manager at another branch who said they would be able to repair for free as the hinge is still intact. However I have refused as I will from now on be with vision express.This store and its staff need to be investigated. If the staff are not trained well, and correct people are not hired you will continue to lose customers. If you don?t want to deal with kids as staff members who are disrespectful and do not help, do not waste your time or money here at all! No customer service whatsoever.I would highly highly recommend to avoid this place at all costs, you don?t receive the service you pay for. The glasses materials are extremely cheap now, the staff are dossers as though it?s high school, they just want you out the shop and have no care in helping. No duty of care nothing.There?s a vision express 5 mins away in the exchange, 10x more better service, much better glasses in general, contact lenses, and also better deals and offers.

Specsavers branch have always been good , over the years adapting very well with the volume of customers. I'm writing this review because I went to them at the busiest of time . They where on point when it came to my appointment however I made the mistake of not booking my contact lenses check up on the same day so I went to see if I could get one . The lady at the desk Sabiha who I can see was busy still made time for me and book me in on the same day at a later time . Got to my appointment for my lense check up again got looked at ASAP by shanzeh.More then happy with the service 110% would recommend this branch, thank you for saving me time wish I could give more stars for today's service

Specsavers Ilford-is the worst branch to ring on the phone as they never pick up!Reading through some of the previous reviews seems like Ilford should be awarded the worst branch for customer service!
