Service was good, and we loved the curry!
The only drawback was the low air con setting. Similar to our hotel room, the dining area felt much too chilly for our liking.

The food is amazing! My server, Angelo, was very nice and provided excellent service. I came here two nights in a row, and he even remembered what I ordered the first night.make me feel warm and welcoming.

We had been in Paris, Somerset, Oxford, and London, in fact we left our London hotel and decided to stay at the airport as we had an 11 o?clock flight, and needed to be at the airport early so we booked this hotel as we had been impressed with Sofitel in the past.
We booked at the restaurant and had a very good experience for the first half of our meal. It seemed like once the food had arrived and the waiter asked if we needed anything and if we were happy with the meal, he then completely disappeared. My husband had the pork chops and I had the risotto. Both were good, the issue I have with the restaurant was that we never saw our waiter again. We finished our meal let the plate sit in front of us, no issue we were looking forward to dessert and an after dinner drink, but the waiter never came. My husband thought if we stacked the plates and put them on the end of the table it would be impossible for the waiter not to notice. that did not happen. It was at least 10 minutes before my husband was able to get his attention and he ask if we wanted anything else, by that time he could see we were upset, gave us no apologies. Just acted as though nothing had happened, there was no way we were gonna order a dessert after such bad service.
Here is the thing, people who stay at airport hotels are not going out looking for restaurants, Sofitel, you have to up your game. It?s no good having a great hotel with a lousy restaurant.

Best stay and best breakfast ever. Thanks Leopold!

I think the staff are trying to do their best but they are fighting against a tide of table numbers that this restaurant can't deal with.
The food tasted ok but was cold from either being left on the pass too long at doing a circuit or the restaurant to find the correct destination.
My advice would be to give this place a swerve. I will never eat here again after a pretty bad and relatively expensive experience.

We were greeted well on arrival. And service was okay. Once we got out food which was the sharer meet platter, it was the only strong point from the experience. Now the dining experience turned very bad just after we received the platter with bits missing from it (vegetables that were ment to be char-grilled) all we had were tomatoes. Asked for medium/well done steak and got rare. Everything else tasted fine, however when my wife and myself wanted to question about the missing items etc..another table sat down next to us clearly with a bit of wealth had 4 waiting staff buzzing around them like flies to a rubbish bin. We didn't get seen to after that for an hour!
One finally came over and asked if everything was okay at which point my wife became very disgruntled with how we felt we were 'sidelined' for a 'higher class'. We all pay the same right? Probably pay the same service charge of 12.5% too...
We have never EVER experienced being made felt like second class guests in a very highly considered place.

Food was absolutely disgusting. Not a single person in our party liked the food, and it?s very expensive with added tax and service charges even for smaller parties. The waiter was nice enough but we never saw him after he took our order and we eventually had to flag down another staff person to get the check. It?s an easy walk into T5, so I recommend just heading there for cheaper and better food.

Average taste with relatively high prices. It's hard to accept the mandatory 12.5 percent service charge. Very ordinary service.

The food was the strong point, hovering between fair and good. Some of the let-downs included slightly stale bread rolls and a funny temperature on the mains, which I think had been forgotten, left standing and reheated. The service however is poor. The staff are friendly but the organisation is really lacking - we had four different waiters - and it took more than two hours (with several reminders) to get through a simple meal. I think there is a bit of a language barrier that contributes to this. Items were also forgotten (but appeared on the bill). I guess it's a captive market so maybe low motivation to improve. Allow yourself plenty of time and come with patience if you plan to eat here.

After a string of bad reviews I expected a slow, painful affair - but nope, am pleased to report that I had a great meal here, exactly what a weary traveler hopes for.
Regarding the food, I give a particular shoutout to the Indian items. I can never get it spicy enough, and while not overwhelming, my request for ?as hot as possible? yielded a respectable level of heat and lots of fresh peppers added (delicious!).
Service was quick and pleasant, everything came out fairly briskly. They definitely have a captive audience but this was one satisfied customer.

Pro?s- We were greeted at the front door by a very welcoming lady that found us a table as we didn?t have a reservation.
Cons- we were seated right at the back of the restaurant where we had to wait 35 minutes just for a waiter to come over. The first thing he said was ?are you in a group? what does that even mean? No hello or welcome and could hardly hear him over all the noise in the restaurant. Me and my husband asked to be moved due to how loud it was which they did allow us to but the waiter walked away from us and we had to stand in the middle of the restaurant until the nice lady that first greeted us at the door showed us to another table near the open kitchen. We then had yet another 25 minute wait for a waiter to come over and ask us what we would like to eat yet we haven?t even been asked if we would like a drink. Then we had to listen to the only waiter that was serving food, argue with the kitchen numerous times. There is absolutely no attentiveness to the customer. No smiles whatsoever. The food is practically thrown down on the table with not a moment for you to even ask for a sauce or salt and pepper. I got hit twice by waiters walking past, with not so much as an apology or acknowledgment.
The food was ok, the best part of the experience. Not great, but ok.
Ask for the bill, yet another 25 minute wait. The service charge is slapped onto the bill and taken without question. Service I would never pay for.
Really disappointing for Sofitel to accommodate a facility like this. This is more budget-hotel restaurant.
The staff need to learn to smile and need training on hospitality.
We will not be returning.

Disappointing. Our server came to take our food order . We had to ask for drinks order to be taken. Food took nearly 40 minutes to arrive - 3 fish and chips , 1 chicken breast with veg and 1 Caesar salad. We then waited a further 15 mins for a Shepard?s Pie to arrive - having spoken twice to our server who said it was coming - the first excuse was that the Shepard?s Pie was being paid for on a different tab, the second excuse was the kitchen was busy. Meals all ordered at the same time so should arrive at the same time so our party could eat together. Meal was adequate at best.
When the bill arrived it was incorrect. Correct bill came and we declined to pay service charge - the response from the member of staff when we asked for this to be removed was rude, an eye roll and no enquiry as to why. For a hotel of this rating this falls far short. Would not recommend.

We waited for 1 hour for some very simple dishes like salad. The food was Ok. The bread was horrible. Overall the experience was very bad.
