Avoid at all costs. Went to close my account here, was told to sit and wait. Called to close my account, ended up with the account being flagged for fraud (even though I had set up online identification and called from the registered number and passed security), asked my new bank to switch the account which was rejected by Santander because of the fraud flag despite my having told them that I was asking my new bank to switch the account, called and was hung up on by the fraud team. It seems like if you try and leave them, or take any money out, they want to frustrate you as much as possible.

Extremely slow and sub par service. Asked to close my account, they had me waiting 20 mins to see an advisor so I get told that I have to go to the cashiers to do it.

I've never been been to a bank that the staff are very rude to you..there not helpfull at all..and the opening hours are ridiculous they should be open like most banks 9,30 to 5,30 pm not half day lol im so dissatisfied which the staff and opening times I will be taking this matter to the area manager for santander as im not happy with the way your treated by the staff at the branch in hounslow

Awful awful service, and rude staff.I went this morning after coming back from a night shift and explaining my situation to the women and she couldn't give me 2 mins to get my stuff together, told me to wait outside as if they are so effient with their time. I even explained to her that the last time I came they made me wait 2 hours, even though half the staff are walking round the store like headless chickens with nothing to do. Even the second time I say down in her office she was rude, and kept looking outside the office as if there was something more interesting then serving the customer sitting infront of her. Honestly the worst experience i have had in awhile. Would not recomend going. Santander headquarters need to look into the hounslow branch and sort theircustomer service out.

Used to use Hounslow West Branch who were professional until they closed and I ended up at this branch full of drama. Sat with the Personal Banker an Asian Lady she had no clue about loans or whatever she was talking about after sitting with her who was also training someone and didnt even ask permission if he can sit in...told me im sorry I cannot help you, go call Loans yourself using our phone because I have a queue of people. 0 customer service skills. What about the customer infront of you. I used to deal with Tazmin in hounslow west and she knew her stuff would go the extra mile for clients and be helpful. This lady needs retraining for sure. Definately putting in a complaint and shifting my accounts where people actually look after their customers. Appauling.

Went in on a Friday at 2PM to withdraw a certain amount of money from my own bank account. Had my own id on me and my bank card. Rather than helping me or allowing me to withdraw my money. They started questioning me about why I'm taking MY money out, not only that but also what I was going to do with it. Initially I was told i can only withdraw 5000 if i want to do it right now. However to withdraw any higher id have to be given clearance by HR. I obliged and said okay 5000 is fine id like to withdraw that and the rest id withdraw later. Lady who was serving me told me that oh actually I'm sorry but i actually dont have the permission level to make this withdrawal and sent me to her manager. The manager also checked my id and card. then went in the back for a bit with both. Comes back to tell me my cards been blocked, HR will need to investigate it before i can get it unblocked. No questions, not even asking me about where i get my money from or anything, nothing. I literally had to ask her so the 5000 I came to withdraw can i do it or not.I use this card daily for commute for food, I get paid monthly into this card. She didnt ask me anything about this and straight up blocked my card for a withdrawal that was below 5000 limit.Managers reassurance to me, when i asked her about why it was blocked was "its nothing suspicious, HR needs to just carry out a few checks. These will take a few days". Bear in mind i use this card daily for everyday expenses.Came back with my dad within a few minutes for an explanation and was told same thing again. I even offered my payslips, even though it is MY money. I shouldn't have to clear my name when theres nothing suspicious about my account. I had ID, I had my card. Ive been with the bank for years now.Called helpline and sat in the bank. Helpline took an hour to go through and the lady who picked up informed me she would pass the line on to the security team. The call went on hold again and i literally waited for another hour and 30 minutes while still on hold. The bank closed and still i was on hold. Eventually after the call had been on hold for 2 hours the call disconnected. After it disconnected I instantly redialled. Am still on hold. Worst experience with a bank ever. I was treated with disrespect and staff at the bank acted like they couldn't care less that I was being inconvenienced by their actions.
