Decided to go here for food WHAT A MISTAKE
Me and my partner decided to go here and we regret that decision
When we were seated they took our drinks order and didn?t check if we had any allergies which is a red flag for a start
Then when our mains arrived my partners order was wrong and her tater tots side were stone cold. When they bought her food over they had just slapped the extra burger on top of the one we?d already sent back and her loaded chips were stone cold
I ordered a grill masters tomahawk & chicken the mushroom and black pudding that came with it were stone cold the tomahawk looked like it had been in the oven for 45 mins and the chicken was cold to the point where I could push my finger into the chicken and hold it there
We explained this to the manager and she seemed completely unbothered about our complaints and her overall attitude was shocking
A complete clear out of staff is clearly necessary for this place.
I?ve worked in bars and restaurants for over a decade and never in my entire life have I seen service as shocking and appalling as this.

Poor food no taste hardly also we had a 50min wait for a simple steak meal definitely not worth the price and probably won?t be returning

It?s a Harvester, so you sort of know what to expect going in, my kids like it and it?s a pretty good family friendly entry level restaurant to go to (especially if you have kids with SEN!) - also the salad bar is a novelty that gets my kids eating the slightly heather foods voluntarily ?????

Have been to The Compass on and off over the years. Still as enjoyable. Shocked at increase in prices but im from the old school of watching the pennies! Large and spacious building - lovely staff tasty meals.

Attended mid week. Nice atmosphere, not too busy. Ordered chicken skewers x 2. One with chips, one with bed of rice. Larraine was our waitress. She provided an excellent service. Food was good and presented well. Enjoyable evening
Parking: Car park gets busy from 6:30pm. Free parking, must input your reg on their machine inside or get a ticket. Side streets are resident bays so you have to find parking on main road only if full

Waited hour for dinner after starters, wasn't that busy.
No communication from staff. My granddaughter wasn't even offered the dessert that comes with the meal.
Our food wasn't great I ordered the simply chicken the jacket wasn't cooked and the chicken was hard, they forgot to give me the sour cream I'd asked for but it wasn't on bill so she obviously didn't hear me ask for it. I was going to say something but didn't see a waitress until she came to clear the plates.
Won't go back as had too many bad experiences at this one will def go to the gidea park one next time.
Kid-friendliness: To keep my granddaughterage 6 occupied my son went to ask for the crayons they usually give u the woman didn't acknowledge him just grunted and passed it to him.

Had a meal here Sunday it was a celebration for a birthday let me say the food was exceptional long in coming and once it did turn up it was cooked awful and really shouldn?t have left the kitchen. After bring this to the attention of the manager who turned out to be the assistant manager she went down the line of I?ll get something else cooked for you but when I asked how long it would be she couldn?t tell me and after waiting a hour for the first one I didn?t want to to take this chance as my guests with me was a decent way Into there meals already . The assistant manager was soulless and had no managerial skills to try to resolve this so all parties were happy
My advice if you thinking of going to this place think about it as I got much better food and service when I left and went to the chip shop
Finally I got a response by email after I highlighted the problems that I faced only to to be told that thanks for the feedback and kind of it is what it is not even a mention of totally ruining my night
