November 2 2023Frozen puff pastry £5 *** FIVE POUNDS!!! *** Sainsbury's same stuff £1.50. lidl same stuff £1.25Plus they are back to charging a £1 deposit on trolleys and nobody is there to give change. Waitrose card now pointless. No free coffee no discounts or deals. Just a way for them to keep track of you.Way trose way expensive.sometimes the advertising can be deceptive."25% OFF FISH COUNTER ON FRIDAYS"Or words to that effect.Raw king prawns (shell removed)in the "stir fry" and vegetable section @ £24 per kilo.In the fish counter ...raw king prawns (shell removed) £31.99 per kilo.Remove 25% discount and you get £24!!!One can safely assume therefore that the "25% fish Friday" is a con.Like other waitrose - they had a renovation to insert highly expensive Japanese counter and reduce staff overall. I guess Japanese counter is a franchise. Maybe Japanese staff don't need to be paid so much?I like waitrose generally. I like the quality and the staff. But, I think things are changing.Sigh.Time to go elsewhere.

Nicola the Manager deserves another promotion, she always goes over an above for the customers and is a pleasure to interact with. Super helpful, very knowledgeable and represents Waitrose extremely well.

I've personally seen the current Labour leader Keir Starmer leave the stall in the men's bathroom without washing his hands, go straight the fresh food section and handle the produce. He should be banned for life.

I?ve traveled all over the world and never have I seen such an inane layout of a store! Even in Mogadishu, the Midnimo supermarkets are more coherent! Having the sandwiches and little snacks outside of the main store, hidden down a corridor is ridiculous, it means you need to exit the store, get what you need then come back. If it wasn?t the only place in the area to get semi decent fresh bread then I wouldn?t bother. Maybe the local junkies influenced the place

I love Waitrose. I mainly shop online. I went to this store for the first time in ages because I wanted to purchase things not available online. I was surprised to first of all see the state of the plants. Over 50% we?re dead. Clearly from lack of water. An avenue of plants is what meets you at this Waitrose. It makes a terrible first impression. Then inside the store there were so many completely empty fridges (like they were broken) that the majority of what I went for was not available. The overall impression is this is a company in decline. This is my review as a shop owning professional. Whoever manages this store needs to get their act together.

This waitrose is fine in terms of food selection. However, one issue is that their coffee machines are out of order in 50% of cases I go there. It?s not such commonly occurring issue with other Waitroses, so it?d be great if they fixed it on Holloway road too.

After shopping here for 10 years, I feel the Holloway store is declining. The scales for weighing produce are ALWAYS out of order! By getting people to self scan, they avoid service. I have just had to have a rescan 2 weeks in a row and the person rescanning has not been able to get the scanner to work for 10 minutes!. In the past, I have been offered vouchers for these types of inconveniences but now it's just a bit of a shrug over it. This last rescan resulted in my peanut butter lid being twisted by the girl scanning it so that by the time I got home the peanut oil had leaked all through my trolley. A huge clean up when I got home! I'm really disappointed.Ocado is looking like a better option these days!

This store is ok they always seem to have ingredients that I'm looking for when other supermarkets don't. The staff are friendly and helpful my only complaint was the security guard who followed me about giving me funny looks when I was looking at the plant section which didn't feel welcoming.

One of my favourite stores in London, and has several deli counters for specialities, plus in-store bakery (or Gales bread) and everything else you'd expect from Waitrose (including free coffee for members!)They have some rarely found canned soup classics, as well as "San Marzano" canned tomatoes (for those very special spaghetti bolognesees!) that you don't find in other supermarkets. And, I often buy cut flowers here at very cut prices! ?? ??

The layout is very strange. Marinated chicken on a tray is 3 aisles away from the rest of the chicken. Forget all your preconceived assumptions of where things will be. Completely random

Waitrose on Holloway Road offers a welcome escape from the bustling surroundings of Holloway. This outstanding store provides an extensive range of grocery items, fulfilling every need with its well-stocked shelves. From fresh produce to pantry staples, the variety is impressive. It's refreshing to have such a reliable and comprehensive option in the area, making grocery shopping a convenient and pleasant experience.
