Purchased a Nintendo Switch game that worked intermittently, seems the cartridge was quite worn and couldn't be read. I had already thrown the receipt, but provided them with my online proof of purchase, and they honoured the warranty, giving me a refund. Friendly and apologetic staff who genuinely wanted to help. Thank you very much! Will be purchasing used games in future with peace of mind of the warranty.

Absolutely terrible service at CEX Holloway ? avoid at all costs!
I?ve had two awful experiences here, and I won?t be going back. I brought in two laptops to sell, and both times I was told the testing would be completed by the next day and that payment would be made via bank transfer. Sounds straightforward, right? Think again.
The first time, it took three days just to receive my payment ? no explanation, no updates, nothing. I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe it was just a one-off. Big mistake
The second time was even worse. I dropped off the laptops and, again, was told I?d hear back the next day. Days went by with no call, no email, nothing. I eventually had to go back to the store in person just to find out the tests had failed. They never bothered to inform me. If I hadn?t made the effort to go in, I wouldn?t have known anything.
The staff were adamant to give me the name of the person who dealt with my items as I want to leave a complaint. In the end they gave me the assistant managers first name ?Cal?.
The staff were rude, unhelpful, and didn?t seem remotely bothered by the inconvenience they caused. No explanation, no effort to make things right. Just a total lack of professionalism.
CEX Holloway clearly doesn?t value their customers or their time. If you?re thinking of selling your tech, do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is a joke.

OMG The smell from the shop is absolutely disgusting. As soon as you open the shop door to walk in you are hit by the most disgusting smell. I went in there and it was early morning so just opened. I don?t know what Worker was but the body odour was absolutely horrendous. I literally walked straight back out. How are you meant to serve customers with that smell in the shop and one of the workers that smell that bad really needs to know about hygiene I don?t know how any of the other staff have not said anything.

Not sure how far the checks are when receiving a second-hand product. As I bought a product without a working plug but the compensate was heavily discounted. Definitely double check before you buy expensive products and understand what you are buying. (Roland 404 SP MK2 Sampler)
