It is in front of TK Maxx and is very easy to spot. There is various stuff inside such as plushies, toys, gifts, puzzles, wooden crafts, and arts and crafts. They also have books that are fictional and non-fictional, as well as kids' books with good deals such as mix and match and savings. My only problem with the book section is that there aren?t any books about art, but other than that there is a good variety of books.
I usually come here because this is my favourite place to get art supplies, they are good quality and reasonably cheap, which is a bargain. However, I would complain that there isn?t a lot of art items like varnish in store, but it seems like they sell it on their website anyway. The section is quite small, but they sell basic needs like watercolour, acrylic, oil, pencils, different size canvases, paintbrushes and they also do sets, etc acrylic painting sets, which I absolutely love!
Overall, this is a great shop with lots of items if you are on a budget.

My children love The Works in Lewisham Shopping Centre. We go there for bargain-price craft materials, toys and books.
Yesterday, we went in to buy some water shooters (they have a great summer selection!) The man behind the till asked if I worked locally as I was wearing a lanyard. I explained to him about the Sunflower Lanyard as my children have hidden disabilities. He then went out of his way to talk to and play with my children. They felt so accepted! His attitude was very inclusive and disability-positive. We don't usually get such a positive and friendly reaction. I hope his boss reads this and he can get some kind of bonus because he went above and beyond.

Recommend for childrens books. 3 for £5 or 10 for £10. Some the books look like they?re not part of the deal but they are. Enquire before you leave a book you love behind

Always liked this place. Good selection of artsy stuff for rainy day afternoons. Books are marked down in price, often by a good amount. I've been using this store since they opened a good 15 years ago or more.
