Recently renamed from WH Smith to TG Jones, the store remains unchanged just the name. It?s a quite big store and busy at times , there is a Toys r us store inside but is very small.

The last time I visited a WH Smith Store was at Heathrow Airport in the Departure Lounge, waiting for my Long Haul Flight to the Caribbean. It was well stocked and spacious, no problem getting pushed around by an Escort from the Disabled Travellers Team. I think I purchased Maltesers in a big bag, Walkers Cheese n Onion Crisps, a Diet Coke 270ml and a packet of Extra chewing gum for thr flight. As I take a cocktail of Medication daily I suffer from a Dry Mouth and chewing gum really helps if Mineral or Spring Water is scarce. The staff were polite but, too busy to chat with individual customers which is a shame. Good Service with a smile but no small talk, which I missed so its 4 ***** from me.

I popped in to WH Smith at Brent Cross Shopping Centre just after midday on Friday and can only describe my visit as a memorable one.
It is not often I can commend a staff member on their customer service, but Daisy, who was manning the till and assisted me, was extremely polite, courteous and friendly which made for an enjoyable shopping experience.
Thank you, Daisy, for your exemplary customer service and interpersonal skills whilst assisting the customers, myself included.

At opening on a Sunday I was enticed in by the spend £40 get £5 off on toys, and was just greeted by an untidy mess that looks like it is closing down rather than a new installation. You'd think that with The Entertainer closed on Sundays they would be able to smash it. This mess was throughout the whole store which was a shame, there just feels there is no pride in the store.

Some one has decided to rearrange the layout of products at Brent Cross in the MOST ridiculous way. Why aren't newspapers & magazines close to each other as they always been previously. It is ridiculous that newspapers are squashed in near the front, but if you want the Radio Times or some other magazine,weekly or otherwise, customers have to go to the far corner, at the back of the store to find them. There is no new signage to show where products have been.rocated yet.Not the most intelligent layout even though company is trying to accommodate Toys R Us merchandise.

Make sure to double-check your receipt before you leave the shop as I was charged £24 for nothing. Be aware!Went back for refund as I checked the receipt home and they didn't even apologize for their mistakes! Horrible customer service from Manager!

The lady on tills would only help me on the self service till after another customer questioned her about me standing there for at least ten minutes. She, instead of fixing the issue on my till, insisted I take all my items over to where she sat, leaving the till unusable for anyone to else.

Good shop for birthday cards, gift cards, books, magazines and stationery, they have a lot of other items but these are the main ones that they seem to stock.

Personally, I had a really bad experience there today. The guy who served me did not give me a receipt and, as I had bought a present for someone, I requested a receipt. I was told that this would take 15 minutes! When I explained that I was in a hurry and that I did not have 15 minutes to wait, I was ridiculed by this male member of staff and another male customer in the shop as if I was being somehow awkward. I found the whole experience to be extremely patronising and the member of staff, having been pretty unpleasant, then told me to 'have a nice day' whilst laughing at me. Really !!!! Avoid this shop if you can.
