I had a terrible experience with Halfords and will encourage people to stay away and save your money.
I did a major service with them and straight after I had to go to wales for work. During my drive , my car?s sensors starts warning me that there is too much engine oil. They put too much engine oil, which has adverse effects on engine. I would have thought that was a very basic check to check engine oil levels after a MAJOR service. Anyway I then went to another Halfords on the way and they said they can?t help and won?t actually as it?s another garage?s issue. Now I had to go to another garage to get this resolved straight after a MAJOR service and pay additional cost.
On top of that, my window control on driver side stopped malfunctioning aswell. The front buttons open one window on the back.
I called Halfords Hendon today as I returned to let them know and they had no response for the oil, literally just skipped past it by saying okay. And for windows, they just said major service doesn?t affect windows, but then it all stopped working on the same day. There is no accountability and absolute terrible customer service.
I paid extra to do a major service to avoid any issues and now I am left with electrical problems, more cost. Like a lot of people, I thought I will trust a recognised car garage name but honestly it?s avoid all of them.
I get people make mistakes but then also not being accountable is another thing. Literally been left on the dirt with no help or assistance and more cost and more headaches so just avoid.

I was offered the Avon tyre that I required at an excellent price and could fix a fitting appointment at National for the next morning. The gentleman at reception as well as the mechanic who carried out the change of tyre were very polite, friendly and helpful. I could not ask for better service, and will certainly purchase future tyres from them.

Avoid Halfords Autocentre at all costs ? absolutely shocking experience.
I booked a full service for my car on 14th July expecting a professional job from a big, well-known company. I was badly mistaken.
First issue my appointment was booked for 11:00am, yet I was told they wouldn?t even start on my car until 15:00. Pointless having an appointment if you don?t stick to it.
But the real nightmare came later. When I returned to collect my car, I found it had been damaged while in their care scratched by another vehicle, and now my front right-hand side sensor doesn?t work. So instead of maintaining my car, Halfords actually made it worse.
I reported it immediately and was assured by customer service that it would be investigated and I?d hear back within 7 working days. It?s now been almost a month still no response, no update, no accountability. The manager at the branch claimed he would check the CCTV, but since then it?s been complete silence.
This isn?t just bad service it?s negligence. When you hand your car to a supposedly reputable national chain, you expect them to treat it with care. Instead, they showed no duty of care whatsoever. The damage, the refusal to take responsibility, and the lack of communication all prove they simply don?t care about their customers.
Honestly, I?d have been far better off going to a small local garage. At least there you get honesty and respect. Halfords Autocentre has been nothing but a massive disappointment and a waste of money. I will never use them again and I strongly advise others to stay away.

Great service and friendly staff and if your looking for good quality tyre's at good price, I advise to always check Halfords website in advance, that's where the savings are!

Dean fitted all the tyres on my car and was friendly and helpful throughout. I really enjoyed my visit to Halfords they do their best to provide excellent service and make sure you?re looked after best service on reception as well!

booked a 1 hr time slot in the morning to have 2 new tyres fitted only to be told on arrival that we had to leave the car there for the day. there is no mention of this online when booking before taking your money. Customer service both in store and via online chat is non existant. will not use again and do not recommend!
