First visit to Hampstead and this was the best Waterstones ever!! The staff helped me find a book and even gave me recommendations which was so helpful. The cafe on top was amazing the cake was so soft and the toliet was nice and clean. You can tell they take care of the shop.

I always find friendly help and books am looking for. The Café is fantastic, and the waiters are so so nice. I get my favorite cortado there, and the person always remembers how I like it!
Great place and great fun to listen to all the different languages spoken there

I?m a regular at their café and can say that what sets them apart is the friendliness of the staff and their proactive approach. The head barista and his lovable colleagues are all great people, and they deserve a pay rise. It?s disappointing to hear people complaining about the WiFi and toilets. Many customers bring food and drinks from outside, which makes it difficult for employees to clean up after them. Or worse, some people sit there for hours with their laptops. I?m glad they don?t have WiFi.
Their book shelves have a good range of genres, though limited. What really makes the difference is staff, who enhance the in- store experience.

We absolutely love Waterstones and have been there regularly for many years. The selection of books on both floors is incredible and just looking around at the people is a treat in itself. We were afraid that the Kindle would kill book shops like Waterstons, but it is still thriving.

An ideal bookshop. The staff are immensely helpful; the selection ample; lots of seating; and, integrated with a large cozy café area.
