Friendly staff good service good food

On the evening of 26 July 2025, we visited your Hammersmith branch to celebrate a special birthday. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing.
The service was unprofessional and unfriendly. The staff had visibly irritated expressions and made no effort to provide even basic courtesy. Despite the late hour and few remaining guests, there was no excuse for such dismissive behaviour.
A slice of birthday cake was brought before the main dishes, completely undermining the moment. The chicken katsu was so dry it was practically inedible ? even a hungry child couldn?t eat more than a few bites. A request for sticky Japanese rice was ignored, and we were served the wrong type instead.
We paid full price and expected decent food and respectful service. What we received instead was careless, disheartening, and far below the standards expected from your brand.
This was not just a dinner ? it was a special occasion, and it was ruined. I hope you take this complaint seriously and take action to prevent this from happening to others.

Really impressed by the food and atmosphere, the location feels grand being an old fire station, great hot they've kept some of the old intdrerior. Loved it.

We had a lovely meal out before the theatre. Our server, Julia, was really friendly and helpful concerning dietary requirements and advising us on vouchers. Will definitely be returning soon.

Arrived, asked for tap water which I received spilling over the table. Waited 25mins, no one came to take order. 3 servers, 3 other customers - very quiet. Staff all look miserable and uninterested. I walked out. Having been a regular over the years, it?s easy to see the decline, but this was truly shocking. Definitely do not recommend and won?t be back.

I?ve had some great meals at various Wagamamas around London so went to the Hammersmith branch on Friday and came away very disappointed. Food was a bit bland but ok. The service however was dreadful. Despite not being busy, slow to take our orders, unattentive, we had to ask them for cutlery several times and when we asked them to clear the table they just said ok and then left. Bill took ages to prepare and even longer for us to pay. What a shame as it used to be nice place.

They insisted on me paying online rather than using my card and then when I didn't they tried to make me review the restaurant 5 stars and say the waiters names.

Loved the food
Loved the staff
It's a different vibe to a normal wahaca, a bit less Mexico more corporate vibe but that's more the building and Soho has the best vibe.. Nothing that can't be added too to get a more rich atmosphere..
Still have the match/chilli seeds which is always a great idea as always
It's a new building in Paddington which is great and the set meals are Amazing!!!

We didn't have to wait and the atmosphere was relaxed, although a bit cold, we had to keep our jackets on.
The food (veggie tofu ramen and the veggie curry) was ok, but unfortunately the ramen didn't have much in common with classic ramen (extremely lots of coriander, only mushrooms as the only "vegetable" and only 5 small pieces of tofu for £13.5).
The curry was a little better.
However, I wasn't really thrilled. But the staff was very friendly and ambitious.
