Nice store, average size for a Poundland store.

I never used to have any problems with this Poundland store until today.
When it was busy, there was only one employee working, called Lisa. Lisa worked so hard, and tried to help and serve us as quickly as possible - both on tills and self-checkouts. Lisa was running around to help her customers, whilst others were nowhere to be seen.
When she asked the security guard if anyone can help her, as she was the only one working, the security guard had a massive grin on his face and walked around slowly (most likely he ignored her).
Lisa was literally doing everyone else's jobs, whilst she doesn't earn any extra pay. This is shocking! They leave one employee to do all their work.
The management needs to have a serious meeting with the team, and the security guard. Lisa deserves a pay rise for her amazing service. As for the others? If they don't want to help, especially at a busy day, then they should find a different job and give it to someone who actually cares.
Thank you Lisa for your amazing service.

I went today to buy in Poundland Hammersmith. Bad service to customers, and it is not the first time. A lady was at the counter but did not want us to pay to her, only in the machines. No choice. Not nice treatment. I left the things and decided to buy nothing then.

Scammers. I told staff I put two pounds into the machine, but it is showing I only put one pound, the security was there watching me, and then they did this organised i-dont-know where they started looking each others, the security went off somewhere else, and then it took them a minute to finally pass the golden keys to open the machines and then told me i paid £1.10 (have no clue how when originally the machine screen said I only paid one pound)
The point is not the little money, because honest to god, 90p is nothing, the point is the way they reacted. I worked retail, so I know they know these machines eat up money sometimes, so acting all surprised is quite stupid. And I know as a company, they also know they are scamming people because there will be extra money in these machines. Maybe have a meeting and figure out how to not scam people.

Nice place for shopping on a budget and with children. Often a good offer of goodies and friendly staff.

Some of the item are really kept at low cost

Staff are very helpful, good prices on most items.
Security personnel have a nonchalant attitude and border on rude sonetimes.
The Branch obviously enjoys a "monopoly" being directly at a very busy Bus Stop

Worst Poundland ever. The shelves are always empty.

One star as this Poundland (Kings St Hammersmith) consistently ?does not have? regular bags to force you buy bags to carry your purchases. Too bad for them, i left everything for the second time and wont be coming back. Better support businesses that respect their customers vs those who think they are fooling them

Absolute disgrace, my partner shopped in this store today and amongst other things bought some light bulbs ,well he thought he did but when he got the packet home it was empty..... you have thives operating in this store ... check all packages before you buy them .... so that packet of nothing cost £4 .... thanks alot won't be back

Competitive prices, but the shelves are half empty and it's a bit chaotic with boxes in the middle of the aisles.
