My local Tesco has been inundated with pigeons. Absolutely unsanitary and a complete nuisance when trying to shop.

It's not my idea of a lovely and family friendly trip to the shop (there are all the other posh overpriced shops literally everywhere else in Hackney for that), and I would avoid this place during busy times (lunch, after work on weekdays), BUT it is somewhere I can still afford to buy more than one sad vegetable, their "world food" section is great and affordable too and they even have a "free from" section that has decent bread.
The assistants are doing their best given how much they're paid and what a stressful environment the supermarket is. When they're rude but still help me with what I need, I just don't take it personally, I'm not a child ????
It is sad to see so many beggars outside, but that has more to say about our society than the quality of the shop.
I don't know where else to go that has decent prices these days so I hope they can invest in Tesco's working conditions and standards in the future, but for now I don't have complaints. [The pigeon story is very fk sad tho]

Only some of the staff are friendly, namely Gladys! She is one of the only ones that make me actually want to enter this place! The security are rude & tbh, can't do their job properly, & the beggars outside are aggressive & rude. Gone so downhill over the years, would rather go elsewhere tbh

Fresh produce poor. Prices high. Range not good enough. A few members of staff are brilliant, sadly not all.

A variety of fruit and world food products which is great. The store is clean with plenty of staff working however some advised wrongly when asked which isle for something. Lady at the till was polite and efficient even though there was a long queue.

genuinely shocked by how rude some of the staff are here, especially at the self checkouts

I?d give minus zero if I could .The staff are incredibly lazy and rude they really don?t want to be there they don?t even try to hide thier dislike of customers. And beggars outside asking for your trolley to keep the coins

Poor service from the Chinese/Vietnamese/filipino lady on till 6 today (7th November 2024) my mother was asking to check if the dog treats was 4 for £3 because the display said, the lady was really rude and didn?t wanna help my mother. My aunt was also short changed a £5 from her. She denied it until a supervisor or manager came to assist and checked the camera and saw the short change given.

This store is average. Nothing to write home about. Aggressive beggars outside. Targeted for demolition in the near future.
Prices? It's Tesco. They like extracting urine.

Love Tesco but If you do a large weekly shop at this tesco you will be charged £70 for the parking fee. The long queues in this Tesco cause you to park there over 1h 30mins.
The management of this tesco should extend the parking to at least 2 hours. ideally 2h 30mins.
This is a money making scheme if this stays the same. I will be doing my weekly family shop at another shop because i dont want to feel rushed and constantly worrying about being longer than 1h 30mins

On The 18th of September 24 I woke up with an extremely runny nose. My nose was running like a tap. I dragged myself to my local Tescos and spoke to the pharmacist who was working at that time. There's been adverts saying you can speak to your pharmacist for minor ailments. I asked the pharmacist for something for a cold. He turned around and said it looks like I have an allergy because I was showing signs of a runny nose only. He prescribed Tescos One-a-day Hayfever & Allergy Relief 10mg Tablets. I asked if it was going to make me drowsy, the answer was 'No. Later on that day whilst driving I dozed off for a second behind the wheel. Luckily I woke up in time or it could have been fatal.
My concern is that there's nothing written ON THE BOX that shows that it could cause drowsiness. It only has a paragraph on the leaflet inside saying rarely some people may experience drowsiness.
Unfortunately you're not permitted to take the leaflet out before you buy the product. I spoke to the pharmacist who advised me it was NON DROWSY.
This experience did really scare me and I am concerned in case this happens again.

I use to love this store, it?s disappointing that the store now closes at the 10pm quite unusual for a store of that size, has a rotten smell on entry. Staff are friendly and it does have a lot of what I may need. Not the best Tesco think it needs updating you can?t even scan and shop
