This is a great shop, they have a really wide selection of niche food products and the staff are really nice. It's also no more expensive than any of the other places of Chatsworth Road and they have a load of bits discounted with short dates on them which is welcome.

Someone who claimed himself to be the manager recommended me a salami with deer in it when I mentioned that I did not eat pork. Apparently it was only 15% deer and again %85 pork. I realized this when I got all the way back home and gave it to someone else! ?

I've been here before and loved the selection of imported and specialist food I can't get anywhere else. Then I read the reviews about people being routinely overcharged and decided to take photos of all my prices on the way around and compare it to my receipt. Sure enough, the very first thing on the receipt didn't match the sticker on the shelf.
I got a refund and some waffle and how they change the prices on the system and they sometimes don't put new stickers on but they're trying their best.
Be wary. They know they're overcharging people and they do it anyway. Sneaky.

Fed up having to have things price checked before I buy . On more than two occasions I have had to get someone to come and see price displayed . Told U have to pay prices cecscanned and then acting like it's a one off mistake. It's embarrassing.
I pointed out that they need to sort it everytine but they seem reticent to redress the issue . Check you are not being overcharged before leaving shop

Was warned about the systematic overcharges by partner just before I was gonna do a shop. Benefit of doubt, committed to purchase, didn?t seem right when they rang up the till, checked and sadly this is true, each item was a pound more than the tag. Took a refund and left.

Please really be careful of the overcharging when you go in here, they do it every time and they never apologize.The prices on the till are already very expensive compared to other stores, and somehow they find a way to change them at the counter and put them even higher.Let's be clear, it is most likely on purpose, I check the receipt every time and I've never been undercharged there.

This shop systematically overcharges. Almost every time I go in they try and charge more at till than the price listed on the shelves, and I correct them. They have never made a mistake and charged me less. This practice must be illegal. They rarely apologise. It?s way to tiring having to have an argument every time so I now shop elsewhere.

Systematic overcharging of items, in particular vegetables and fruit which are priced per kilo. I?ve never been undercharged, and I?m very often overcharged. I receive zero apology when I point out their erroneous pricing. From the reviews below, it looks like several people are catching on to their scams.

Second time I have purchase bread from this store. On both occasions bread is mouldy several days before the expiry. Terrible. Avoid Ararat Bread from SPAR Chatsworth Road. E5.

Overcharged on the price per kilo of pumpkin. Went around to check the other items and I wasn?t given the 2 for £4 deal on tofu and was overcharged for a bottle of Prosecco. given it?s xmas eve I decided to not take my receipt back and instead just go home to see my family. But this is either a flaw in their pricing system, or they are systematically ripping people off?.

This could be great but it?s not. Primary concern, which I have noted in other reviews is that they consistently charge a higher price at the till than is marked on the shelves. By consistently I mean more often than not . It has to be deliberate. I let it go the first few times but now I always demand a refund .
