TLDR: Lost a sentimental parcel due to compulsory electronic customs form bypassed by empty fields, despite a filled CN22 form.---Here is what happened:- Sent an item to EU from this post office.- Filled the customs declaration form, address, everything is okay so far; sent the item.- Heard back from the custom's office of the destination country that the digital custom form was not filled by Royal Mail, so they declined the item.- Went back to this post office, no managers are around, no one is taking responsibility, offering any suggestions, explaining what went wrong or showing any direction to contact/help.The issue is as frustrating as is, the indifference and tone deafness just breaks my heart. A small check or understanding the frustration and proposing a potential solution (even if it wouldn't work) would go a long way. I lost my trust to this branch.---Update:Thank you for your response.You are right about managers needing some time off, life happens I am sorry rushing this. The resolution process between Royal Mail and Post Office is broken and it creates additional frustrations for people who are already stressed about losing their items. I had a written confirmation from the other parties that the electronic custom declaration was empty, which added to my frustrations.PS: You have exposed my address in a platform which already has my name and profile picture. I remember this, and perhaps I was a bit unkind by rushing to this review. I am sorry about this.However, with this comment, most of my personal information which is supposed to be secured by the GDPR is linked and exposed to public. Could you please redact this section promptly? I do not feel safe, and this is a serious matter.---Update: 14.03.2024By saying "this", I was trying to imply extra kindness that you've done; as I had a parcel which is noted as delivered but was not delivered yet to your branch. You called me to deliver it when it arrived to clear out extra confusion. This time I'm having an issue not while receiving, but sending a parcel.It is not nice as you to expose my private home address to make a point. I have taken note of our interaction here; and I will have to lodge a GDPR complaint within 3 weeks, if you do not remove my PIIs here as it's been a week already since I communicated that my personal information is added here and I wanted it taken down.My initial reaction may have been too harsh for a 1-star review, but after this; my trust is completely lost; and I cannot recommend this branch to anyone anymore.---Final Update: 18/03/2024Thank you for removing my address swiftly from your answer, I appreciate this a lot. My parcel is lost as of today and I've lost a sentimental item that I entrusted to you and the Royal Mail. The electronic customs form was indeed bypassed with unrelated information and an empty address as confirmed by Anpost; but I won't start another argument over this as pushing these won't bring my items back. Have been using this branch over 20yrs since I moved to this area. Never encountered any difficulty. Staff always been kind and very helpful. The gentleman behind the counter always greet my daughters and enquire of their school day. It's the little things that counts. Why would I go elsewhere?
