Your experience at the store will depend on the staff especially when it comes to wine tasting. One the staff filled a full glass of wine for herself to drink behind the counter and when I asked her for tasting she said they are finished and collected all the bottles.

The store has a decent range of wines many of which are competitively priced and the ability to taste some wines that have been chosen for tasting by Majestic is a definite bonus. However, your experience at the store will depend on the staff and most recently we've found them not to be up to the standard we've come to expect.

The wine is good but I specifically have asked not to be sent deliveries on cardboard boxes that I have to break down to get into our recycling bin. Again I have a delivery of a couple of bottles of wine in a 6 bottle cardboard box which I not have to break down for the bins. This negates the pleasure of a nice glass of wine with dinner tonight. As the phone at Magestic did not answer I left a message and obviously not picked up. Customer service when they were in Greenwich was much better!UPDATE - Following the response from Magestic when the delivery arrived from them with the courier today, I asked the courier about the large cardboard box and he told me it was Magestic's decision to pack in a large box and not his. He apologised. We get regular deliveries from Theatre of Wine in Greenwich wrapped in tissue paper and bags. No cardboard waste and a pleasure to unwrap. There are no breakages from Theatre of Wine so I feel this should not be an excuse to off load rubbish. Appalling service. Ordered click and collect, no notification (as promised in order confirmation email). Waited a week only to be told when I rang up that the order had been waiting since the day I placed it (!) Didn't it even occur to the store to call to check that I was aware. Won't be shopping there again.
