Great pie & mash in town! Food was a little extra salty and the mash a little bland but I think that's part of the pie and mash experience in the UK? So many great options at such a good price. Definitely recommend for a traditional local food.
Service is very fast. That's because you queue up and get your food canteen style at the counter before finding a seat in the deceptively spacious restaurant. It was all very fast paced. I got a slight food court feeling where you always feel the need to rush and get up to let others waiting get a seat.
Regardless, id totally go again!
Despite lots of tables available the queue outside was sizable. It was a weekend and lunch time when we went.

Best Pie'n'mash I've ever had was from Goddards. Can get very busy but it's worth the wait. Liquor is just how it should be and pies are good quality. If you looking for an authentic taste of London this is it.

After many busy days in London, Greenwich and Goddard's just hit the spot! The food was one of our favorite meals in England, and the staff went out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed sitting by an open window upstairs and just enjoyed the evening!

Something I always wanted to try was pie mash and liquor not sure if I'd like it but when I happened to pass Goddards I thought now's the time and it was fantastic I really enjoyed it more than I could've imagined the steak and ale pie was absolutely delicious the little pieces of steak were so tender and not a bit of fat or gristle just succulent and melt in the mouth steak in a tasty gravy the pastry had a lovely texture the mash was good and the liquor was Great and the staff were superb and for £7:50 how do they do it with such quality I'll definitely be back and I'll happily recommend it to all

Absolutely authentic old school food.
Pie,Tea and Mash £7. For the Full on ( and you will be) experience have a Rhubarb Crumble and Custard. ?Again totally authentic. Considering this is within pie hurling distance of The Cutty Sark absolute bargain, no taking the tourists for a ride here.

Don?t skimp on condiments. Go all out. It?ll be the best food experience of your life. Authentic traditional food. Stick with traditional or vegan pies and get liquor!
Avoid the eels if you don?t like fishy flavours.

We had the double pie and mash with gravy, apple crumble & custard, and 1 can of coke which in total came to £17. We shared this between 2 so for a hearty meal in London, this is fantastic value for money.
We came at around 4pm on a Sunday and there was just a short queue. The service was very fast and efficient and there was plenty of seats available upstairs.
The pie with the mash and gravy was pretty decent but my favourite was the apple crumble with custard! Big enough portion to share between two with a large layer of crumble and plenty of custard.
It's really great that these traditional pie businesses still exist and at affordable prices. I would definitely visit again.
