My mother a 75 years old lady who has been living in sudbury hill for more than 20 years and shopping in Iceland came to visit me today crying her eyes out.Since there are no more cashiers and you have to check out yourself, she has been having difficulty to do it herself and asking the staff to help her out, the manager approached her and told her rudly that we cannot help you and you have to learn and do it yourself, she left the shop quite disapointed and upset.she saw one of the staff in the street and he told her please donot stop coming to us, that manager is a very rude guy and he doesnt even treat us well and come to the store on thursdays and sundays, he does not work on those days. today (thursday 14th march) she visited the store and asked someone to help her on the checkout machine, the manager was there and sent one of the staff who was rude to tell her we cannot help you and if you cannot do it herself do not come back to this store,either you learn or leave your basket and get out. What kind of an idiot and uneducated person iceland has chosen as a branch manager.I called and complained the headoffice

Very convenient to shop, staff alway happy to help,Since the new self service has been added, a few lovely lady have left, which is a shame, as some of the friendly ness has gone, it's always nice when someone asks how you are, Or family.

I will never use their service again. O recently placed online orders which was not delivered on the stated date. I contacted the store and there was a confusion on who I spoke with on the phone concerning my order. Last week, my son decided to do some Christmas shopping and get a turkey from Icelan with other bits and pieces but when the order cane, the substituted the whole turkey for a crown at THE SAME PRICE! At first,he thought he made a mistake when ordering then I decided to complete our Christmas shopping yesterday. It showed online that the turkey was available only for them to substitute it again for a crown at the same price. I called store but line was busy. I have now decided henceforth never to buy a pin from iceland I just had it with their cunning marketing strategies. They are no longer the affordable frozen food store any longer Aldi and Lidle including other store beat Iceland in terms of affordability hands down. Most of their food has dropped in size at the same price so why bother?

My favourite shop previously now only positive is kindness of staff. Till constantly closed. Self check cashier messy and queue longer every day. No space for waiting people. Manager of this store have to start listen customers sometimes.
