Unable to do a simple transaction (pay money into an account over their counter) - what is the point of a building society branch which can't do that?

Visited there to re-instate an old account my late father had opened for me. I saw a lady- Sasha who was so polite, informative and professional. I was actually treated like an individual-which the banks don’t do nowadays.
