Food amazing as usual and value AF in London. Worst service I ever had in all the Eat Tokyo branches. Asked 3x for water and finally brought. Food for table of 4 came out all different times. I finished my food and the last one finally arrived.

Very long queue. You order on a tablet which is convenient. The dishes are quite cheap but the taste is mediocre. The curry rice size is massive.

This was my first time here and picked based on the number of reviews. The food was average ( I got a tuna teriyaki and my friend got a pork cheek dish). I guess a downer was seeing a live worm/ insect in the salad. We pointed it out to the waiter who apologised and took it away. Unwashed salad is a problem and we hope that will be rectified going forward. My friend said the matcha beer was stale, I had a bottled keirin which was nice and the glasses were chilled which I thought was a nice touch :) Service wasn't the best given we felt they didn't handle the worm in salad well, no apology at the end, waited a while for cutlery despite asking a few times, and when the bill came no gesture of goodwill / service charge still added on. Atmosphere was good, packed restaurant so maybe this was a one off. Not somewhere we'd come back again though.

Great food. Staff were accommodating especially the new manager Alex who let us have a table of 10 when we booked earlier but clear about the time they needed it back. Polite and helpful. We got one of the first dishes we ordered very late so they didn't push us to leave when they originally said which was kind and even gave us a goodwill gift. Sushi was very fresh, the chicken katsu was the only thing we didn't like due to a layer under the crumbs.

Although there is a very long queue, it is definitely worth it (you should probably book in though). The food is absolutely delicious, wide range of drinks and delicious sushi and noodles on the menu, friendly staff and fairly cheap prices! Amazing sushi place. There is one right down the road to it which is equally as amazing.

Matcha beer suprised me, I really liked it.
Staff was nice, very humble.
Benton box was tasty. And they make the best Miso soup here.
AC was on, I was cold, so one star down for the atmosphere.

Eat Tokyo is a popular Japanese restaurant chain with several branches across London, and I often find myself at their Golders Green location. There?s always a queue outside, no matter which branch you go, and that just goes to show how much people love this place.
What I really like about Eat Tokyo is how authentic the food is. It?s the real deal?great quality, so many options and generous portions, and pretty reasonably priced too.
My favourite dish has to be the Engawa nigiri sushi. It?s something you don?t see at other so-called Japanese restaurants in London, but they usually have Engawa here, so I always make sure to order some.
The staff are always friendly and ready to help, which makes the whole experience even better.
If you want to skip the wait, try going around 9pm on a weekday when it?s usually a bit quieter.
Overall, Eat Tokyo in Golders Green is my go-to spot for a taste of Japan in London.
If you?re into Japanese food, you should definitely check it out! ?

This is the best eat tokyo. Service is always fast (even when they are packed) plus the food is delicious and authentic. An absolute treat and one of my partner's fav places for a dinner out. 100/100
