I wanted to carpet a small bedroom and have carpet runners up two flights of stairs.After calling up the shop Ali was able to come and measure up on the same day.The shop has a good selection.Ali went above and beyond, by travelling to collect the keys from an inconvenient location when I was unable to drop them off in person when the fitter was available to complete the job at short notice.The team were kind and honest and a pleasure to deal with.I am very pleased with my new carpet and runners, and would highly recommend H&F Carpets and Wood.

The owners of H&F Carpets are the most kind, honest and helpful people I've met during my home renovation work. They have a wide & brilliant range of products. I can't recommend them enough.

Great service and quality work! Mohammed and his team were very accommodating and patient while we had to delay fitting due to delayed repair works at home. No questions asked, nothing was a problem. ??

I wish I had come across this review before choosing this shop. I too like to shop locally and sadly establishments like this are why the highstreet is in decline. Required new flooring for my Kitchen and Hall way. The initial quote had gone up in price by the time I went into the shop to order. When the fitter arrived the price went up again to remove the underlay although I was advised initially this wouldnt be needed. Standard of the fitted floor was terrible, my door was also damaged in the process to which they proclaimed was like this already. I had just had my door fitted. Extremely rude and dismissive staff. When the money is paid any illusion of service disappears. Please avoid.

Very disappointed with the service from this shop. I went in on Friday to buy a small piece of Vinyl for my flat. Cost-wise it is more expensive than elsewhere, but I like to shop locally. However, on this occasion it did not pay off as there was confusion as to the delivery instructions (I had said I would call early in the week when someone was at the property during the day to receive the delivery, however they delivered anyway and there was nobody there) - when I then called to arrange delivery they were terribly rude and unaccommodating, aggressive and confrontational from the outset of the call - so much for the customer is always right. Regardless of miscommunication with respect to delivery, there is no excuse to be rude to customers who have paid good money for your product. My Mum then went in to collect as they would not redeliver (under a half mile down the road in fact), and when she went in and gave the details the staff pointed to the rolled up vinyl as if she should climb over carpet to get it. They eventually got it for her, though when she then asked if they knew of a taxi company, again they were rude, dismissive and effectively just wanted her to leave. I have plans to redo all the flooring in my flat in the coming weeks, however I am glad I only bought this one item from this shop as they have no respect for their customers - surprising when word of mouth is so important for local businesses. I would not recommend. Poor service, rude and aggressive once you have paid them and not respect for local custom.
