Unlike these shops that do very cheap glasses your eyes are properly tested and a great selection of spectacles which you can bi focal or tinted glass

If you want expertise, advice, attention to detail and access to the latest technology lenses, please come here! Nominally more expensive than those multiple outlets, but if you can see better as a result in my book worth every last penny! Turned around my new varifocals with transition and Polaroid lenses in around two weeks from eye test, ordering the frames I wanted to fitting. Can?t recommend more highly.

I have been using Gary Swerner Opticians for almost forty years and can honestly say, I couldn't be happier.Initially for sight testing only, then for frames and now contact lenses too.The selection of frames is second to none with the option to make a special order if absolutely necessary.When I had a change of prescription, I bought a new frame to ensure that I would never be without a pair of spectacles in an emergency and as they were over £90, I was given a free pair also. Win, win!I now wear contact lenses most of the time and the time and care that was shown was excellent. I was able to trial various options until I had the perfect prescription as I have an astigmatism and am long sighted!I also buy my sunglasses there and have even had some specially ordered at a very competitive price.Would highly recommend and delighted to support a business that knows its clients and offers a personal and very speedy service.

Eye test was ok. But almost 4 weeks later I didn?t have my glasses, and they were still faffing around with my lenses too. Impossible to coral them into organising follow up appointment to check my new lens prescription. If I hadn?t called to check I don?t know if they?d have let me know my glasses lenses were ready. But it took over 2 weeks to arrange drop off/collection of my frames to fit the new lenses. In fact, I?m still waiting. No proactive attempt to offer appointments or share when the opticians were available. Terrible organisation and non-existant customer service. Don?t waste your time. Go next door to specs savers.

Very unhappy with their service. Tried them for the first time to get a lens changed (very easy and simple task). They couldn?t get it done in the end (after more than 2 months). My glasses have been returned in a worse state than before and I wasn?t compensated in the slightest. Will not be going back and definitely do not recommend.
