I have been attending this practice for so long I can remember being seen by both of the Liversage brothers. I have been to other opticians as well, normally because I did not find a frame I liked here, but keep coming back. The service is excellent, professional and local.

The receptionist is quite rude, but all of the optometrists are lovely and do their best to make you feel comfortable.

Booked an appointment as it's local. Waited 20 minutes beyond the appointment time despite there being no one else in the building other than a family choosing some frames.When the optician did appear, she asked the usual questions re: Covid symptoms. I said that I had recently had a mild cold which was now resolved, and additionally had taken a lateral flow test. I was told this was no good and had to have a PCR test. I explained that I did not have ANY of the symptoms ( persistent cough, fever, loss of sense of smell) nor had I been in contact with any known cases, which are the only situations which qualify for a NHS test. This was dismissed.Obviously next time (though there won't be one) I will not be honest and mention a sniffle I had. Alternatively I could lie to the NHS Covid testing system claiming to have symptoms that I don't actually have. I would be interested to know which of these two possibilities this Optician's think most appropriate.

I?ve taken my 9 year old son here and we were looked after very professionally. He had a very thorough eye exam followed by excellent advice which was given in his best interest and not in a sales pitch. Would definitely return and recommend others do the same.
