I went to this shop after noticing that the watch I had bought wasn?t working properly. I wanted them to check if it simply needed a new battery, and I also asked if I could still return it in case the problem remained after replacing the battery. The manager told me that she wouldn?t be able to check, and that the only options were a refund or an exchange. She also said that if I put in a new battery, I wouldn?t be eligible for a refund because the watch might get damaged (which made no sense?the watch already wasn?t working!).
I told her that in that case, they should sell watches with working batteries. She just replied that there was nothing she could do and that they weren?t a watch store. I found her response rude, unhelpful, and completely lacking in common sense or politeness.
So, I went to another store where they solved the problem quickly and kindly.
Unprofessional, unpleasant and useless manager!You lost a regular customer.

this place is good for shopping however customer service is VERY bad. I got severely judged in this store as a black girl. The workers watching my every move. I asked a man who was aside two other female workers and continued to ask about a product. they completely ignored me and laughed. sort it out.

I love having this tkmaxx near me and shop there often. The cashiers however can be a bit rude when returning items, I've noticed this few times, 2 days ago i was there shopping and the cashier was arguing with a women trying to return an item and asked her to speak in english when the customer was indeed speaking in English, this is one of the many instances i witnessed there. One time i returned a perfectly undamaged hair straighteners, the women at the desk asked for the reason i was returning it, i stated that it wasn't powefull enough, she huffed and puffed and said < so for no reason> . The teals are always busy with long queues and not enough desk open. As much as I love this tkmaxx the staff attitude can be questionable.

While standing in the queue to pay for 15-20minutes you notice many things...How staff at till prefer to chit-chat rather than open 2nd till and clear the queue of over 10 people...How you apparently need 2 staff to push 6 baskets...How you can see that security prefers to be on the phone rather than stop someone when detectors goes on. And to top that...how can you after waiting for so long in the queue be informed right when you approach the cashier,after finally putting your items on the desk that this person goes on break. I've got nothing against people having their deserved time to relax. However... it's not exactly rocket science to notice that staff are taking advantage out of manager on shift or he is just knowingly letting it slip out of his poor leadership skills. Two different ladies left the queue and probably we should've done the same. Just outstanding.

Poor Customer Service at TK Maxx Haringey, London
My disappointment with the service I received at your TK Maxx Haringey store on 17 January 2025.
At 15:05, I purchased 10 items from your store. However, when I returned home, I realized that one item?a thermo-café?was missing from my shopping bag. This item is very important to me as I need it to keep water hot for my baby.
I returned to the store at 18:00 and asked to speak with the manager, who introduced herself as wiolleta . I explained my situation and requested assistance in locating the missing item. However, I was shocked by her unprofessional and dismissive attitude.
She refused to check the store cameras, stating that no one was available to assist. When I explained the urgency of the situation and mentioned that I needed the item for my baby, she responded, ?It?s not my problem.? She also told me to come back tomorrow instead of making any effort to resolve the issue.
I don?t understand why I should have to leave and return again for something that is clearly the store?s responsibility. This was not my mistake, and it is her job as a manager to help resolve such issues. Asking me to come back later is completely unacceptable, especially when the issue could have been addressed during my visit.
What made this experience worse was her disrespectful behavior. She laughed at me because my English is not perfect, which I found extremely rude and humiliating. When I asked for her name, she mocked me, insinuating that I wouldn?t be able to spell it correctly. I mentioned that I would file a complaint, but she laughed again and said, ?They will do nothing to me.? Her attitude suggested that, as a manager, she feels entitled to do whatever she wants without being held accountable.
As a loyal customer who shops at TK Maxx weekly and spends a significant amount, I am deeply hurt and disappointed by this treatment. No one deserves to be mocked, dismissed, or belittled, especially in a situation where they are seeking help.
I kindly request that you investigate this matter and take appropriate action to ensure that no customer is treated in this manner in the future. I would also appreciate it if someone could contact me regarding this

I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding an extremely unpleasant experience I had at your TK Maxx store in Haringey Green Lanes, on 9th December 2024, between 12:45 pm and 12:56 pm. I am a local resident and a regular customer at this particular store, so I was deeply shocked and disappointed by the treatment I received.
On this occasion, I went in to purchase a hoodie, and while I was looking at some watches, I was treated in an incredibly disrespectful manner by one of your security staff. I was holding the hoodie in my hand as I browsed the watches, when the security officer approached me aggressively and told me, in an extremely rude tone, to leave the watch area and queue elsewhere. I was confused and shocked by his behaviour, as I was simply looking at the products and not causing any disruption.
I politely asked him to speak to me with respect, explaining that I am a paying customer and should not be treated in such an aggressive manner. Unfortunately, he continued to speak to me in a disrespectful way, not allowing me to explain myself or express my concerns. His behaviour escalated to the point where he attempted to remove me from the store simply because I requested to speak with the store manager.
When the manager finally arrived, she seemed uninterested in the situation, and I was made to feel completely ignored and dismissed. This lack of concern for a customer?s experience was both disappointing and upsetting.
To make matters worse, as I was leaving the store, the security officer mocked me by saying, ?I?ll see you in a few days,? as if nothing would come of his behaviour. This kind of treatment is completely unacceptable and humiliating. The lack of respect and the degrading manner in which I was treated cannot be justified under any circumstances.
I trust that you will take the necessary corrective actions to address this issue. I would also like to remind you that the incident was likely captured on your store?s security cameras, and I strongly recommend reviewing the footage.
I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter.
