A well stocked Homebase, but the customer service is a disgrace - in particular, one guy, who handled my click and collect order on 2 March. I arrived at 09:30, shortly after the store had opened for the day. It was quiet. I waited at the collect and collect desk and one member of staff -a guy wearing a headset - just wandered past me staring at his phone. When he did get to the desk, he continued to play with his phone, looking on Instagram, and then, a minute later, rudely said to me "what do you want!?". I showed him my ID and told him the order number, but, because I didn't have the order number to show him on my phone, apparently he couldn't allow me to collect the order. This is nonsense; since all that is needed is ID and a note of the order reference. I told him that that wasn't the case, and he laughed in my face and said "that's how it is, bye". In the end I walked further into the store and bought the items I wanted off the shelf (luckily they were in stock). I came back and paid via another member of staff and saw the same guy berating another customer. His colleague looked embarrassed by his behaviour. Really disgraceful; the guy should be fired, honestly. A terrible look for Homebase.

Good local Homebase with nice gardening centres and DIY stuff. Would be good if they offer deals like B&Q and other gardening centres on seasonal planting.

Happy with my products but not the customer service. I ordered via click and collect. Called ahead to check if my brother could collect on my behalf, if I sent him pics of my ID via Whatsapp to show. I was told this would not be possible. (Would have been easier for me, as my brother lives close to the store, whereas I'm an hours drive away, my local store did not have stock) So I had to go in person, surprise surprise.....ID was not requested or checked! ?

the staff are furniture and not helpful.they dont know what its stock anc dont wish to help you find out.i asked the gentleman on the til if there was anyone to help me in store besides him, he was reluctant to ask someone go help me. disgraceful

So i bought some bevelled edge metro mid grey tiles, 3.5 m2. Turned out to be different widths in different boxes. 3mm difference in some. Very annoying when youve started laying only to find this out!!! Dont by cheap tiles on a deal as this probably means they aint right! Too late to return and luckily i can tile so know a few tricks. A novice would probably cry.

I am a regular customer, I buy a lot and continuously here, my English is not good, this time I want to return some small things, but I can't know their names because my English is not good. , I asked the staff to find which invoice was correct among the invoices I bought last time. but he refused and was very rude , and wouldn't let me return the items , the service was terrible .

So bad here. Came for Xmas decorations and they had very little in stock. Picked up a few bits and went to pay and was told to remove everything from the basket. Asked for a bag I was told rather gruffly that there was none. Now I have 15 items to carry in my hand to my motorbike. Really no bags or just bad customer service?
