Completely incompetent management. I tried to return a faulty item with a photo of the receipt. This is acceptable for HMRC but not for wickes ????? they told me they return policy was, unless you had the paper receipt you could not return anything. I asked to see this policy. All the morons could do was keep repeating that you needed a paper receipt and not show me any evidence . they said you need a paper receipt to put a line through it. Can you believe it I could not. Multiple people came over to me to repeat the same thing without showing me any evidence. I think one of the managers came over, but she was equally as inefficient and rude. All in all. I do not think it will be long before the shop shuts due to bad management and rude staff it?s a shame as I have been using wicked for many years but it has gone to the dogs.I have tried to return stuff in the past and they have also been obtuse. Every other shop Screwfix Toolstation has a log of your purchases, but this old fashion store does not .

Good builders merchants probably more suitable for non trades but able to cater for most.Friendly staff, tidy store with ample parking.

Mixed experience in this store but the definite one consistency is the rudeness of the staff. No smile, hello, thank you, just ordering around.I agree with other reviews about management, it would appear they do make up their own policy here, not in line with other stores. Staff seem more interested in taking breaks and chatting with each other than dealing with customers.Head office need to look at this branch, it's damaging to the Wickes brand.

I went to the store this Friday afternoon, I waited near the click & collect section as I did a refund there before. I wanted to do a refund, there was two members of staff talking to each and they both didn't acknowledge me untill I said hello I'd like to do a refund. I didn't catch what member of staff said so I repeated and he said back in a aggressive manner 'I said I'm not on tills or till trained' something along those lines but the way he said it was aggressive.Which I don't appreciate at all because you have a customer standing there and you don't bother to acknowledge him so why do you feel you can speak to me in an aggressive manner? What gives you the right to speak to a customer like that when he didn't do anything wrong. I see here there are many bad reviews of the staff members. Will the manager review this or no?

Worst Store manager so avoid going to this store. You will regret it later. He has his own rules and think he own the store. See all the previous comments from other customers.

30 day return or exchange policy on unused items is ridiculous. Part time DIY often takes me longer than 30 days. I don't want to drive to the store every weekend to buy little items and return things within 30 days.

Good store but the Sales person on the till needs training, as having a chewing gum in his mouth constantly, and couldn?t even bend down to scan the heavy item, on top keeps saying ? you cant take the basket outside? I was keep ignoring him due to his chewing gum and unhelpful way of serving customer, after he mention 4times I looked at his eyes and told him I heard you, as soon as he looked in to my eyes he then stop. It was a big guy, around 5:30pm on 16th January 2022. Thats the only to get 1star unfortunately.

Plenty of ugly experiences in this store although I?m a builder and I?m buying a lot from them. There is only one staff member a young lady always willing to help all the others are lazy, most of the time you can see them at the cigarettes breaks and they tend to run away when it?s obvious you need some help. Also quite dirty and not very well organised it makes it one of the worst wickes in London. Not to mention the big till guy he ordered to me today ?YOU MUST HAVE THE APP, THIS IS PHOTO ? ????????????Really unbelievable people,,, disgraceful
