Have spent a lot of time and money in Wickes stores recently, but after a recent visit to the Erith store I received a parking fine for staying too long in the shop. We were measuring timber and fencing and planning the next phase of our project, so to receive a hefty £100 penalty for wanting to spend money with their company is very upsetting. The fine letter also arrived after the period when a reduced fee would be accepted. I get that they don?t want people parking there who aren?t customers, but you shouldn?t exploit genuine customers for wanting to shop there.

I knew what I was after. Also saw something else at a bargain price.
Staff had to go price check it as rang up as £18, not the £12 on the price label.

Good experience and the staff members I spoke to, especially one of them, were excellent, going above and beyond to help with finding some fence paint.

Really big thank you to Jo and Charlie who not only carried all the tiles from the shop floor to my trolley but then also waited a the till and loaded them all into my car - very grateful for their kindness today. Very happy customer
