I went into Metro Bank with the intention of opening an account, - all I can say is - Welcome To The Twilight Zone!It was the strangest, weirdest and most peculiar experience I have ever encountered, (and I've had a few in my time) customer service was non existent, at one point I began to think that the few staff that were sat behind the counter were potentially manakins!!! It was that bizarre, I cannot even come up with the words to accurately describe how uniquely odd it was, it was like time had stopped, with nothing actually happening inside metro bank. They say the aliens are among us, I for one agree, and I believe they hang out in Metro Bank Enfield. Needless to say I never actually got round to speaking with anyone to open an account because I decided to leave after waiting so long in a queue that was not even moving -- tumble weeds. It's quite possible upon walking into Metro Bank that I entered a gateway into a different dimension. It is the only plausible explanation I have been able to come up with!

My attempt to open a current account atMetro Bank was a nightmare. Despiteproviding all necessary identification and more, the store manager repeatedly rejected my application and was extremely unprofessional. The customer service was not just rude but also seemed clueless. It took two days in and out the branch to attempt opening up an account with prolonged waiting times, and every encounter ended with them asking for more ID or dismissing it as incorrect even though a valid bank statement, passport, drivers licence AND GP letter was provided. I don?t know what more they could?ve asked from me just for opening up a current account. I won't be opening an account with Metro Bank after this horrific experience and wouldn?t recommend anyone too either. Avoid the Enfield Branch in particular their service is shockingly rude and lazy.

Can?t get through to human being on their phone line. Chatbot did not respond to my questions at all. Wanted to open account - having second thoughts, especially reading all the negative reviews, (some of the positive ones look very obviously false).

Short of staff and long waiting time to access lockers. This happens whenever I visit the branch. The bank seems least interested in providing services once they get a customer

Was in my local metro today Saturday 28th October about 12.15/12.30pm, there was 4 customers in front of me and 2 being served by the only 2 members of staff!! The 2 customers obviously had a problem as they was there a good while, so you can imagine the que was getting longer!! I couldn?t see any other staff except for a young lady who was at her desk dealing with customers, so we was all eating and waiting to be seen and nothing!! For a Saturday lunchtime is very bad!! Why on earth don?t you guys have a ATM inside or customer services staff there to help customers? (They could have helped the 2 customers who was there was a good while!) all I wanted was some cash out as I had my card cloned a while back so don?t like to use a cash machine outside, by this time I?ve had enough and so too the others waiting! When I finally got to the counter?I see the guys name was Curtis I said to him?where?s all ur staff? He said?they are of sick!! I said it?s not good enough is waiting for so long and the fact merrier should have an inside ATM and customer services helping customers so they don?t have to be seen by cashiers, he said?there?s a ATM outside (I did explain why I won?t use them) my main bank is Santander (been with them since they was Abby National) I have 2 accounts with metro, I mentioned the fact they have 4 ATM?s inside and have customer service staff to welcome customers!! He then said in a very patrionise way?..well they don?t open 7 days a week and open early till late!! I then said?that?s why they don?t because they are there will and able to look after their customers the times they are open and are on the end of the phone!! I?m not a rude person (I?m a 64 year old lady with manners) and I?m soo not being spoken to by someone like that!! RUDE!! I get on really well with the manager Ronnie his a lovely guy very friendly and polite, also a guy named Mario, I?m very loyal but this has put me right off going into the bank!! Next time I need cash on a Saturday I will make sure I go into Santander on a Friday!!

Curtis, an employee at this branch is absolutely incredible in his customer service. Every single customer receives a bespoke experience thanks to this employee. He is astute, considerate, and very pro active in preemptively supporting clients. I would recommend this branch unreservedly because of Curtis. Don't bother doing business with this lot. We went there on monday to open a basic personal account. We got told to return next day with a passport and some address proofs. So we asked what address proofs were required. We were told one letter from a government department and one from a doctors surgery. Went back today and got told oh those lettets are not enough.maybe we didn't look wealthy enough. So off to nationwide building society down the street who opened our account in 10 mins and lodged out 200 k cheque. Don't use this unhelpful bank.
