I recently visited matalan enfield with my children (one being autistic) and sister, hoping for a pleasant shopping experience. Unfortunately, my expectations were shattered by the rude and dismissive behavior of the staff.Upon entering the toy section, my children became excited and inadvertently made a mess. Understanding the importance of responsibility, my sister assured the manager that she would clean up after them. However, instead of offering assistance or understanding, hespoke to her in a condescending and dismissive tone, making us feel unwelcome and judged.Furthermore, when I politely asked another staff member for the manager's name to address my concerns, he refused to provide it and questioned the validity of my request asking me "why do you need it". This lack of professionalism and basic courtesy is unacceptable, especially when dealing with customers who are simply trying to rectify a situation and provide feedback for improvement.As a parent of autistic children, I am accustomed to navigating various challenges, but encountering such disrespect and insensitivity from staff members at matalan was disheartening. It is essential for businesses to foster an inclusive and supportive environment for all customers, regardless of their circumstances.I sincerely hope that matalan takes this feedback seriously and implements necessary training to educate their staff on empathy, respect, and customer service. No one should ever feel belittled. or dismissed while simply trying to shop and enjoy their time with their children

I recently had an unfortunate experience at Matalan that I feel compelled to share. As someone who has never written a negative review before, I am deeply disappointed by the behavior of the store manager, Henry.During my visit to the store with my two young nephews, Henry approached us aggressively, yelling at me in front of the children. Despite our attempts to clean up the few toys my nephews had touched, Henry continued to berate me. This hostile behavior was not only unprofessional but also deeply distressing, especially in the presence of young children.My sister, who overheard the commotion, found her son crying as a result of Henry's actions. When I attempted to address Henry about his approach, he showed no remorse and dismissed our concerns with indifference.The lack of professionalism and empathy displayed by Henry is unacceptable, especially for someone in a managerial position. This experience left me feeling frustrated and upset, and I am disappointed that such behavior is tolerated within your establishment.I hope that appropriate action will be taken to address this issue and ensure that other customers do not have to endure similar treatment in the future. As a loyal customer, I believe it is important to share my experience in the hope that improvements will be made.

Good shop for clothes and homeware.Was mid season so they were changing there stock and didn't have some items I was after.Good prices and some unusal items to buy.Ample parking on site. Wide doors and isles for wheelchair users.Would use again.

I usually go to the matalan at Leytonstone .not much clothes in there, so we decided to go to Enfield matalan.the choice of clothes and home stuff is so much better...its really a fantastic shop.its so big and you get so much choice...the staff in here are so much better and helpful. We definitely go back to this matalan. Its our matalan we go to now...my wife is a size 8 and they got so much clothes that fit her. So happy we found this matalan.

Sadly this store really has not got the kind of fashions that it use too. They seem to be designing for the much older lady, 60plus. I used to come into this store every season and grab a really good selection of bits, but came out empty handed

Matalan is great I love the home section mostly. They have beautiful children's clothing mainly for girls, there isn't much for teens clothing wise.Lounge wear pj's underwear. Just a 10 out of 10 from me I'm a regular customer and will return over and over. Their staff are friendly and very attentive to your needs.

It was a pleasure to walk through the shop. Could do with an electric trolley for disabled people. I would like to stay longer but it's a rather big store to walk!

Great homeware and baby clothes and accessories but just very silly girls fashion. My 10 yr old daughter ends up getting age 12 clothes just to get them to fit. Everything in the girls section is tightly fitted, short and dresses even have holes in it exposing inappropriate body parts. There's Cropped tops and belly tops and off the shoulder tops for CHILDREN. girls clothes should not sexualised and should simply be worn for comfort and warmth until age 14. I've made a formal complaint but unfortunately was dismissed. I guess because some parents out there buy these things for their kids, they're making money and this is what's important over our children's wellbeing
