Truly awful. I?ve attempted to use the cafe for lunch options a few times now as I often work in the Ponders End area. The selection of food isn?t great and having tasted their offerings I just won?t be bothering again. The sandwich was stale - I got a toasted (cheese and roasted tomato) sandwich but you can tell when stale bread has been toasted? and not a single roasted tomato in sight? just a thin smear of paste that tastes like ketchup with barely any cheese. There was more cheese on top which was hard? that couple with the thick dry crusts made it quite hard to swallow. Absolutely nothing special about the iced latte apart from the exorbitant price. Costa is the only high street brand in Ponders End High St but it?s competing against the small businesses who are able to provide homemade sandwiches and hot food like gozleme for under the £9 this cost me. The staff aren?t particularly fast working or welcoming but must be a depressing place to work to be honest, and the din coming from the sound of shoppers chatting, Tesco tills beeping and announcements meant I could hardly hear myself think. The view is of the resident homeless beggars outside which I think just makes you feel even more guilty about spending sooo much on overpriced ?let?s not call it food? when you could be donating to the poor. And let?s not forget Tesco has its own section of takeaway sandwiches which, although not that enticing either, they are a step up from Costa?s offerings. They have a real opportunity here to make the cafe into something decent as could easily build up some walls for sound proofing, improve the food and decor. It wouldn?t take much - and there used to be a good Tesco cafe on the A406 Tesco that felt like it was a good affordable, option that was more closed in and not so open to the whole supermarket. Only a couple of sets of comfy low level chairs which I always look for when not dining formally. This Tesco is ear marked for development so probably won?t be around for much longer ?. So it seems like they are just trying to run it into the ground before closing.

They burned the milk, have to wait to drink and taste weird. wasted my money. It was a simple drink.? what happened with Costa standards?

This review relates to the Costs Coffee shop immediately on the north side of the river, under Tower Bridge. This place does not possess a toilet. It is my understanding that food and drink outlets with 10 or more seats must, by law, provide a toilet for customers. Not sure how they have got round this

Unpleasant service experience, very tired employees and very arrogant in their answers. Never again costa .

Quite simply, it's the table on the end of the balcony, in a stunning contemporary glass box, that offers one of the worlds greatest coffee views looking down over the Tower of London & Tower Bridge. Friendly staff await to serve you your Costa Coffee favourites and share a natter, whilst getting here you're best to walk back around from the main road as most people do not dare climb the tiny stone entrance stairs hidden in plan sight at the front. Skip the tourist queues and experience a quirk of London's coffee shop adventures at one of the greatest tables to enjoy a coffee from in Britain.

Visited here as it?s next to the Tower of London (and cheaper than eating in the tower) and just had a black tea and bacon bap. The service was excellent, bacon roll Cooked perfectly and it was so nice to have the tea in an actual teapot! Great view of the tower and able to sit outside too!

Called in here about 9.00 on a Sunday morning before our tour of the Tower of London. There were 2 staff working and about 6 or 7 customers in front of us. It appears that the staff were not clued in. They were very slow. A couple in front of us left the shop without ordering. I ordered a coffee and had to ask twice for milk. I then had to remind one of the staff that I has a toasted sandwich in the toaster.
