Staff here are mildly racist....old lady of colour with a basket the staff are having a go at her for going to the manned check out. They then open a check out for a white person. Making the old lady wait longer.

Like most budget supermarkets, excessively long queues, inconsiderate customers, and unhelpful staff are all a feature.Except for the bakery, I find the products are generally lower quality compared to traditional supermarkets, and there is no great price savings on 'like for like' products. Shopping in Lidl is never an enjoyable customer experience.

Ridiculous queues and rude staff. This shop is an absolute joke. Closing checkouts today, while customers are still queuing down the aisles. Slow and ignorant cashier, more worried about looking ( at a snail's pace) at a man's phone for a non existent voucher for 2 pence off a flipping yogurt,rather than attending to the massive queue. No sign of any urgency or awareness. We've never done this before, but after a good 45 mins in the shop, we left our stuff on the conveyor belt. No customer service whatsoever.

The shopping experience here is not very pleasant, and I only shop here as a last resort. Firstly they don't want to let you out unless you buy, as to get to the exit, you have to go through the tills, which are always busy. If you don't buy, you have to push past people queueing. They also have a habit of closing tills, even when the queues are going down the aisles. On the self checkouts, they sometimes stop people going out to check if they have a receipt. Basically profiled everyone as a shoplifter.
