Came to pick up a game on click and collect and my fault didn't wait for confirmation email so couldn't release the game thought the manager might bend the rules as had the order number and showed it had came out my bankbut I understood and said I would return when I had the correct email next thing my order cancelled and the shop still clearly has two games in stock well done cex eltham you just lost one customer and probably many more when I retell this story

The people are lovely, but the shop itself is subpar. It does fill a need for quick cash but some of the stuff you sell to them they will give you a fractional percentage of the worth and it is painful. This is expected due to the nature of their business but if you don't want hassle with selling online and just want either money, or time then CEX isn't half bad.

Whilst in store I saw a switch I wanted so ordered it online along with a 512gb micro sd. The store was very quiet and I waited outside for an hour while the 2 girls just chatted to each other. Eventually I went home and soon after they cancelled the order claiming both items were no longer in stock. Dont order from Eltham they are very slow and can't be bothered.

Come to Eltham store if you want to get ripped off.Enjoy a 24 month warranty that means nothing.Enjoy excellent customer service if you enjoy being treated like a piece of human garbage.Save your money and go elsewhere is my advice to all

Do not make a purchase from CeX and in particular this store. Look at the other reviews and a pattern is reveled of very dubious working practices. Highly likely to be taken advantage of and the 24 month warranty is not worth anything it is written on. I would say it is a ploy to sell you poor quality goods along with other tricks that i sadly fell foul of and lost out. There are forums online discussing the poor working practices and the empty promises of the 24 month warranty. Customer complaints will not accept a position that implies there is wrong doing by their stores / franchises. Look at the reviews, the Eltham store in particular is singled out as passing on poor quality goods that do not meet their own warranty requirements and then blaming the consumer. I really hope this store closes down and the management get found out for what they are up to. Absolutely awful. Soon to be 1 star and hopefully a better quality offering can take up a position in the market

Bought a used phone in march this year, it turn out to be working fine until a few days ago ,it suddenly stopped ringing out,I thought that I may have altered something on the settings, I did a factory reset but it continued. I eventually went to the Eltham branch to explain what happened, from the unset the sales girl was more interested in making a liar of me than trying to help me,as a used phone it had scratches and dents which was as a result of use ,I saw this when I bought it but it didn't matter to me ,I bought it in that condition because it was used and when it's in a phone case it becomes invisible, but I was surprised to be told that the phone was not in the condition when I bought which was a lie because bought a phone case as soon as I bought the phone, removed the phone from the case because I was bringing it in, I will never visit any of your shop again in the future because I was treated as a liar by the staffs and that was very disrespectful, I tolerated being treated disrespectfully on the day I bought the phone by not allowing me to touch or inspect the phone until I must have paid for it and now this.Mr Okameme

I have been using CEX for the past 10-15 years now and on the whole I have had very good experiences with them.However my last 3-4 interactions with the Eltham Branch has been very very disappointing to say the least. I am not normally the kind of person that will leave negative reviews - so I decided to see if my experiences were just one-offs... It turns out that my experiences with the Eltham branch were not isolated incidents.Needless to say that I will probably stop using CEX in Eltham. It's a shame because I always have a better experience in other stores like Bromley and Bexleyheath...

Took my PlayStation 5 down to be repaired and was told was due to be back in store by 3rd August and I'm still waiting to find out what's happening with it, constantly getting in touch with cex support and feels like I'm going around in circles, been nearly two weeks since it was supposed to be back in the store, I wouldn't recommend that anyone uses their repair service.

I actually visited the Croydon branch a week earlier and purchased a game on the Xbox One format. Unfortunately, the game had an issue and would not install, always failing at 97.8%. (how annoying right?) Anyway, I was passing the Eltham high street branch and took the faulty game with me with my receipt. I explained the situation and the staff there were absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately I didn't get their names, but the three of them were working Saturday afternoon around 12.30pm. I perused some other titles and they exchanged the faulty game for me and now my kids are happy too. Couldn't ask for more. Thank you to the team for sorting this out so professionally and for smiling the whole time. I can understand how difficult the retail world can and how annoying some customers can be, so well done for facing it all with a smile. Keep up the good work.

It's a cex, prices are mostly inflated - I give this one five stars though because it's one of the rare gems that actually have market rates for some titles, sometimes even below market rate. It's rare, but still more likely than in any other cex I've been to recently.

Felt compelled to leave this review after the excellent service I got today. I don't ever leave reviews but had to do this one.I don't remember getting his name but the Scottish guy in there helped me throughout.Bought a Fold 3 online. Turns out it had an issue and wouldnt connect to wifi. suspected hardware issue. With the amount of items they sell, a few will have issue which i was the unlucky one. but the guy resolved this issue with no problems, verified the problem and offered me store credit which I got another phone there and then. I even got a free case for the inconvenience.Amazing service. Well done.

I've used them for accessories for my surface pro, brought phones from them and camera lenses. Never have I had a bad experience!The staff are always polite, try to be as helpful as possible and the owner is great he's hands on too. I will always make them a first choice when it comes to trading, selling and buying goods.

I bought a set of front and rear in-car cameras. I have paid partly by credit and partly by debit card. The were A grade and looked new but after a couple of weeks developed a fault. I have returned the goods to them and after testing both items they have only offered to return the money for one of them as they have considered the other one as not faulty but they would not work one without the other. Instead they offered me to replace it with another one they had in stock. After a couple of again I was against the same issue and this time I have contacted their customer services. I have tried to explain the problem that unless I go elsewhere and buy the faulty item the rear camera that they refuse to refund for would not work and for me to do this I need my money back and not a credit with CEX. Apparently it's their policy not do so even in such situations where they don't refund in full considering them to be two separate items and I cannot prove my point to them that I am stuck with them as they do not have a working replacement unit and that even of they had every time I need to replace it in my car I have to dismantle and assemble the interior in my car and it takes time and costs me doing so. But they do not care relating this all to the policy I have in place. And I ended up with one unit that does not work without the main unit but they are happy to give a credit back for the faulty front unit or let me try another one that they think maybe better than the previous one. Once you dealt with these people you will be stuck with them as you would never get your money back from them. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND not just to work with the Eltham branch but with the group as the whole. You will always be stuck with them as their policy will never allow you to leave them and you will just be given another rubbish replacement that you will end up returning for a CEX credit that you cannot use anywhere apart from CEX.
