Manager at this Argos has it out for me not to get a refund for an item for some strange reason. Went there to return a product that?s brand new, didn?t even take it out the box and refused my return ?because of 1 little mark? genuinely avoid this manager and argos

The manager has a serious problem whenever customers ask for refunds or returns. This isn?t an isolated case ? many reviews show that numerous customers have experienced the same issue.
I bought a faulty product from Argos that was damaged and even caused my electrics to trip. When I went to return it and request a refund, the manager, Tariq, flat-out refused to help. After 20 minutes of going back and forth, I was told to go home and contact Argos customer service.
Frustrated, I called Argos from the car park. Their customer service team was also puzzled by the manager?s behavior. They asked me to return to the shop and keep them on the phone. When I did, they spoke directly to the manager and instructed him to process the refund immediately. What kind of policy is this?
Why couldn?t this have been handled properly from the start, instead of wasting my entire afternoon? To make matters worse, since I bought the product using a Argos discount, the manager refused to process the refund until my brother came to the store to sign the receipt. Why don?t they verify the discount at the time of purchase, but then create problems when it?s time to issue a refund?
My question to Argos is: why would you employ someone so power-hungry and incompetent as a manager?someone who clearly doesn?t even understand your own policies? From reading other reviews, it?s clear that Tariq is a problematic individual.

Customer service from Ali who is apparently the weekend manager left me standing there for 20mins because he was resting in the back.
Poor lady left by herself to deal with all the customers
No hello
no apology
It?s a matter of time but argos is gonna be the next company to go bankrupt unless you fix up your customer service

I nought a blender from this Argos. When I went home, I got to know that it?s not an automatic one and that you have to press it down the whole time to use it. Therefore I went to change at Argos situated in Walthamstow Avenue. The staff there didn?t change it for me and he was so rude. To be noted that I didn?t even use it. Then I came to this store and the manager called Natalie and other staff behaved so well with me and changed it for me.

I bought a Dyson stick in July which had developed a number of issues.
I took it to the store for a refund (mistakenly believing that as it was less than a year old I had the right to a refund)
Tariq the store manager said I needed to contact Dyson which, after thoroughly looking at Consumer Rights, I did as the 30 day return had passed.
So I adhered to my obligation under Consumer Rights.
Dyson sent out a replacement part which didn?t resolve the issue. So I had an online chat with them. The Dyson CS tried persuading me to allow them another chance at repair, but frankly I don?t want to keep an item which needs a full repair within 3 months of purchase. So I was advised to take it to the store for a full refund.
At the store, i told and showed Tariq the chat transcript where it said I should come to the store. Tariq called Dyson, obviously not believing what I said and showed him.
He explained and told the CS that I?m throwing Consumer Rights at him as if he doesn?t know them.
If he did know them, he wouldn?t have called Dyson after a failed repair attempt! The Dyson guy told him he had to refund me. Tariq said ?Do I really have to give a refund to this woman??
He was furious! It was all I could do to not burst out laughing at him
Tariq obviously did not want to adhere to his obligations under Consumer Rights!
Very reluctantly he cancelled my buy now pay later agreement.
Tariq is a horrible person, he treated me as though I was trying to con him, though all I did was ask for my Consumer Rights to be upheld. Also, as the store Manager he is feeding his attitude and ethos down to the rest of the staff at the store which they believe is correct so adopt for the rest of their retail careers.
Avoid this store as long as Tariq is there.

I bought a brand new TV from these guys and it had irritating static noise therefore I called their customer service and they instructed me to take it in to the store as it had only been a month since I?ve got the TV. I took the TV in to this branch the same day with a reference number from the customer service. The manager, Tariq I believe his name was, said he had to send it off the repair. Although I had the reference number for a full refund, I had no time for the hassle, so I said it was fine. When the TV came back from the repair he told me he can?t do nothing about it. He completely disregarded the fact that I had a reference number from the customer service again and told me to take my TV and leave the store as I insisted on a refund. He then told me to take it home and record the noise as ?proof?. Bear in mind the TV is with him then and there and he can see for himself. He is absolutely rude and they do not care about customer service whatsoever. He made me take my TV back and bring it back again all for nothing. I will not be visiting this store ever again and would not recommend anyone to do so.

Some training in dealing with customers is required at this store. I went in to buy a phone which was apparently sold out. I have been told it has been reserved. I asked if I could pay for the item and was told no. You pay when you collect. Nowhere on the Argos site is a facility to reserve. I knew that the item would sell fast. I wait to see whether my item is in the Stratford store or received in Edmonton at the required time. Argos in Sainsbury's in Tottenham staff are far more polite , helpful and friendly.

Very helpful staff, I had an issue after visiting Argos in Winchmore Hill, terrible manager there, avoid if you can. This evening 1st Dec 23, I explained the problem I had with a return, and the manager there Amal was brilliant, helpful, and showed plenty of common sense, her colleague was also helpful, I should have got her name too, they both deserve credit, thanks very much to you both.

Always happy to walk in and collect items.Great set of staff, it?s nostalgic being able to walk into an Argos that is not at the back of a Sainsburys store.

I don't like the service provided by team members at this store. They Seem very lazy. The store is not busy but they still have plenty of staffs clearly is the reason why team members are slacking with service to customers. Its Sad to see that team members do not respect all the customers equally and fairly regardless of age gender, religion or colour or even dress code.. customers are the main reason for them even having a job.I've seen some good reviews so it shows that the team are good to some customers but not all? they need to treat all customers fairly & equally with respect because I definitely dont feel respected or appreciated when I go to this store.

I purchase online and collect from this store Everytime. When I go there to collect my items the people on collection desk seem to busy chit chatting with the security guy or other team members. After i approach the collection desk I have to wait for them to finish talking then they will say "yeah"? Instead of how can I help or something.. After I give them my order number etc. They will be go and get my stuff then come and hand it to me but whist continuing to chat with the other staffs. No manners what so ever towards customers, plus they don't say thank you, or take care, have a good day, bye.. nothing at all.Shame on argos managers for allowing this type of service.Argos company is good hence why I keep coming back but the service received from team members put me off and I go purchase of currys when ever possible.
