I bought a teddy for my neice for 6.99 but I had a change of mind after speaking with her mum. Within minutes of buying I came back for a refund but was refused because the tag on the teddy's ear was taken off.
This didnt even have the barcode on it but they refused a refund. I didnt care because its only 6.99 but its still unfair. The lady goes by KIMBERLY, not sure if shes a manager but appalling behaviour from her.
Overall, great store but try to hire people who have empathy and not just people from the jobcentre.

28 days return is a lie.
So sad that the staff didnt call back neither take phone.Went three times to the store and i left the giant truck at the store.it drains battery in 5 mins run and they said they tested and its not faulty.Useless and no refund.Sell it twice and make double profit.

Horrendously bad service, I?m minding my own business when rezwana approaches me asking if I need help, but really she was just looking for her next target. Appalling customer service and severely lacking in communications skills.
I asked about a car seat and so we made our way to my car and she started berating me about my current car seat, whilst my wife and child are in the car, just an incredibly jarring experience.
They advertise free car seat installation on their windows, but if you ask them about it they say we can only show you as they are not covered by insurance, then she gets really defensive about it?
Smyths Toys is about light heartedness and fun for the family. What is wrong with staff like Rezwana? Worst customer experience in my life bar none!

I was in the store on Thursday getting some Eid presents. The store was tidy and it was pretty easy to find everything. However, I was gobsmacked by the audio that was playing in store. Rihanna - s&m? I mean it can?t just be me who was offended by such an explicit song being played in a children?s toy store?.?????? This has got to be looked in to

I had a fantastic experience shopping at Smyths Toy Store in Beckton. I went in to buy a Nintendo Switch, and the service exceeded my expectations. Karen was incredibly helpful?she guided me through the options, answered all my questions, and made sure I got exactly what I needed. The store was well-stocked, clean, and organized, making the whole process smooth and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the great customer service and will definitely be returning for future purchases. Highly recommended!

I bought three PS5 controllers from Smyths over the past year, and all have the same issue?drifting to the left. Despite the controllers being faulty, Smyths refused to replace them, insisting I contact PlayStation directly. It's incredibly frustrating, especially when other retailers like Argos or Currys offer better customer service. Having to wait weeks for a replacement is unacceptable. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future... Return is lie

Went in with my husband to look for a new car seat for our son (we thought we need one as he is very tall for his age.) but this lovely lady. (i think was Diana ?) apologies I've forgotten her name. ,she was such an helpful person. Very lovely. I'm impressed with her knowledge. she came with us to our car and showed us what we did wrong with our car seat. ( the midwives or health care visitors or even antenatal classes should have this knowledge and show you how to use a car seat) IM JUST over the moon that this lady took her time to explain and even demonstrate a car seat which we will buy ending of January. She deserves a praise and i hope that the owner and manager can pass her our gratitude. She also helped us buy a high chair. Which our son loves. already straight home we put him in it and he was happy playing with toys he couldn't before. and this high chair is amazing. (company that produces them should have more colours than cream and black. )

Absolutely wonderful service from the store manager! I came in needing to buy car seats for my twin babies and I could not have got a better service! So helpful and happy to go through everything about the car chairs, really happy to fit them and show me how they worked (even though it was close to closing time). All the other staff where very good also. Cannot fault this branch. Amazing, thank you so much !
