I have no complaints about the staff or the products, they are fine.
But what is absolutely unacceptable is that this store has practically turned cashless. In a large supermarket in a European country, you should expect to be able to pay with cash, yet here, 97% of the time there is either zero or just one traditional checkout open, and very often it?s closed. Customers are pushed to use card-only self-service tills.
This is discriminatory towards people who choose or need or just simply want to use cash. Lidl!!!! Cash is still legal tender, and refusing to provide a real option is not only inconvenient, it?s disrespectful. It feels like being forced into a system with no choice.

New loss prevention officers need to get a grip. Came here weekly for 8 years and suddenly being pestered by them in the middle of an empty aisle about being on my phone when I?m looking at a shopping list. Everyone else is great.

Poor service today from Lidl management. I went to return some unopened tomatoes that had gone mouldy within 3 days after purchase.
There?s no customer service desk, understandable I guess given it?s Lidl, so I had to chase a manager across the store. When I finally caught them, they told me three days was too long, and I was supposed to keep them in the fridge - after all, they only keep them in the shelves for a few days. Besides not making sense, this explanation also contradicts the guidance on the package to keep them in the cupboard (which I what I did). They then made me go after another manager who begrudgingly radioed the till to make them aware.
I then had to take the package back and wait in the queue of the single open till for 5-10 mins before they finally refunded me.
At no point was there any apology, never mind an attempt to compensate for the error.

There is always a great deal, on the cleaning products. The best buy products go really fast so you have to visit the store early.

Staff unhelpful, shop full of customers, one till opened and a big queue. I will get a parking ticket as spent more time than I expected to pay for my shopping.
