After a long day at work, this is the last hotel you would want to stay in. The guests are a large mixture, mostly with kids, so your stay will never be a peaceful one.Rooms: Smile nicely at the receptionist and you may be lucky enough to get a good room. The room I had, I think a previous guest had a mental breakdown. Large dents in the walls, couldn't adjust the shower, it adjusted itself.Nearby activities: Plenty of places on the site, cinema, gym, McDonald's and an Asda just over the road.Food & drinks: Drinks are the usual for Travelodge. Food menu is the same, that is, if they have it at all. It's best if you order food from elsewhere, because on occasions you may find your meal overcooked.

Good value Travelodge 20 minute walk from becontree tube station on the district line. Rooms basic but clean and comfy although I did find the bed slightly too soft for me but the other half said she had a great sleep. Staff very friendly and helpful. Bar type meals available. unlimited breakfast for £9.50 each very nice. A good value place to stay if heading down London. As Arnie would say, I'll be back.

We have been staying at the travelodge in Dagenham as there have been some issues with our house, we were really nervous moving to a new area especially when you can?t actually live in the house we have moved across London to be in, Everyone was very accomodating and Chantel, Sharon, mckayla, Sharelle, and another receptionist who I can?t remember her name (I?m really sorry! The lovely lady on reception who wears her hair mainly up with a bun) really made us feel more comfortable in a really stressful situation! Sharon has been so sweet done all she could to ensure I was comfortable and checking in when I started my new treatment, Chantel was always on hand to help and came and helped get my wheelchair from the car and was really empathetic when it came to my disability and honestly that really stood out to me, not a lot of people in the world have that level of care it was so nice to see and be on the receiving end of - thank you from the bottom of my heart! Mckayla made me laugh so much every day and she makes a mighty fine pie and mash (pretty much lived off that the first few weeks!) Chantel takes so much pride in her work and as a manager of a kitchen before getting ill it really doesn?t go unnoticed!) My Dad got very unwell one evening as the person cooking (I don?t think she works there anymore as I personally didn?t see her after this incident) his chicken was on the grey side and my meal was pretty questionable as well, he was up all night vomiting and into the next day and evening too, I escaped with a sore stomach. The person cooking that night also dishes up many cold, dry and unsatisfactory meals to other guests as well and Kim was quick to see the situation resolved. Sharelle is such a sweetheart and like the other receptionist I said about earlier made sure all that was needed was seen too, Dagenham has a really great team, I think it must be really hard for them with delivery?s not turning up so they weren?t able to make meals for people on certain nights or only having a very limited selection of meals which is nothing on them and more on the fact delivery?s weren?t ordered or fulfilled or the freezers breaking down ect. In the worst situations you could see everyone trying their hardest to make sure everyone is catered for. Breakfasts were generally quite good but you can definitely tell the difference between people cooking as some days you could tell the food had been sat there for far longer than it should have been. Chantel makes a mighty fine brekky though! Whilst I do recognise we were staying in a travelodge and not a Hilton I do think the cleaning could be more thorough and regular we were fortunate to get a linen change more regularly due to my health needs/carers changing over but there were a few weeks where we didn?t get a Hoover run around the room or towels/loo rolls/ bins changed for a while too. I think they make the best out of a hard situation. Amenity wise there is an Asda, McDonald?s, Cinema, Bingo hall and Bowling a stones through away so it makes for a good place to rest your head. Hopefully we never have to be out of our home again but if we are I would happily go back. Thank you for having us and thank you to all the ladies for making our stay that bit better!

Overall it was a very nice comfortable stay the only thing for me that let it down was one member of staff I only asked if they had plastic or wooden spoons as the takeaway didn't give me any..... but her attitude was stinky when I asked for a spoon X2 but other than that the stay was nice and comfortable.

Not one to write bad reviews normally, but this Travelodge needs one.I travel the country daily staying in many hotels on business, so it's something I'm used to. Stayed in many Travelodge in past, and I expect them to be a little rough around the edges.First off, no-one at front desk when I walk in at a reasonable time. Once I got to my room, there was a repulsive smell of somewhat burning hair. I think it was being emitted from the heater unit in the ceiling. Turned that off, but it still lingered throughout the whole stay. Honestly made me feel so sick.As I was working late locally, decided to take up my meal in the hotel restaurant. Again, wasnt expecting 5 star dining! But it took 15 mins at the bar to take 2 food orders, and another 5 mins to get 2 drinks. One of which was a bottle from a fridge. Very understaffed and little training to employees. We ordered two pizzas. One came just within an hour - the other 20 minutes later. We were the only two people in the place. To add to this, the pizzas were pretty much inedible. Copious amounts of sauce and cheese basically made an oiley mush that just slid off the bread. Repulsive. I just can't describe how bad it was.Honestly, for a quick stop over I'm not going to complain massively as its a bed to sleep on. But it is currently the worst budget hotel I've stayed in :)Food & drinks: Awful service and questionable food. Not worth it.

We had a rather interesting time at this particular Travel Lodge. The location was perfect with a cinema right on the opposite side, easy access to transport links, the breakfast buffet was delicious, with a good variety of options, I?m not a big fan of pizza but the chef got it just right! The reception staff, especially Brittney was attentive and went out of her way to ensure that we were comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. The only disappointing thing was the fire alarm going off on a rainy evening so we had to wait in the car park for almost an hour ? Other than that, we had a good time and wouldn?t mind coming back especially if all the staff are as efficient and friendly as Brittney and the supervisor Sharon :)!!!
