The lady manning the changing rooms is a jobs worth. I wanted to buy a scatter cushion and needed a seat to try it out on, one that had a back to rest on. So I explained to this lady Just that and she had directed me to the shoe area.I went there and sat on a stool to try the cushion out on my back. Unfortunately the backrest was a flimsy thin cage that was not a back rest but just a barrier divider. I went back to the lady by the changing room and explained that to her. All I wanted was a few seconds to sit on the chair in a changing room to check the comfort of the scatter cushion.But oh no. Her response was "WE are not allowed to do that". So I marched off to the tills and payed for the items and left. Thankfully the cushions were as comfortable as I needed them to be.But on my next trip to the Dagenham TK Maxx, I might want to try on every shirt, every trousers and every top. As this is permitted and will be her responsibility to fold or hang them back to their correct location. At least the store will get their moneys worth out of the employees.
