We had such a lovely time here ? everything was excellent from start to finish. The atmosphere was cosy and full of character, with lots of charming antique décor that gave the place a really unique and welcoming feel.
We tried the fish and chips and they were absolutely delicious ? crispy batter, perfectly cooked fish, and generous portions. You can really tell the food is made with care and quality ingredients.
The service was friendly and attentive, and we felt genuinely looked after. It?s rare to find a place that gets everything right, but this pub certainly did. We?ll definitely be coming back!

Ambled in for a pint of the house pour but didn?t find one. Rather strange for a London pub. May be it was my accent ;) Settled for a Peroni. The service was impersonal and the ambience passable.

I happened to be on business in the Croydon area and ended up at the Spread Eagle. It's a very nice, atmospheric pub that seemed popular with locals. The staff were friendly, and the food was good too.

Smart contemporary space up some industrial stairs. The garlic bread was good and the salad fresh. The seafood risotto is satisfying but over decorated with a crab shell.

Immaculate pub, clean, very well presented and maintained. Also applies to the toilets, surprising given the central location. Solo, professional, barman furiously polishing everything at 11am on a Sunday. Has plenty of TVs showing variety of sports simultaneously, but alas no commentary. Only criticism would be the limited choice of beer as a Fullers chain pub. Four out of six cask are London Pride. HSB, ESB, Guinness and some faux craft. £6.70 a pint of Guinness, just about reasonable.

I took my daughter for lunch at The Spreadeagle and as always we were not disappointed at the very tasty food and peaceful atmosphere.
Big thanks to Mike our bartender and general all rounder for the exemplary service with a smile. Lovely young man ??

?????????? Exceptional Service at The Spread Eagle
Had an absolutely brilliant experience at The Spread Eagle thanks to Michael and Ryan. Their customer service is nothing short of extraordinary ? warm, welcoming, and genuinely professional. From the moment I walked in, they made me feel right at home, creating an atmosphere that makes you want to return again and again.
Both Michael and Ryan struck the perfect balance between friendly and attentive without ever being overbearing. It?s rare to find staff who are not only great at what they do but also truly enjoy doing it ? and it shows.
If you're looking for a place with top-tier service and a friendly vibe, look no further. These two are a credit to the pub and set the standard for hospitality. Can't wait to come back!
