A lovely place to dine out. I have been going there with my family for years. My Daughter's were in buggies. They are now 29 and 20.
A bit pricey but the food is tasty and excellent.

The food in this Chinese teahouse is of average quality and nothing particularly amazing, so I didn?t take any photos during this meal. However, in recent dining experiences, I feel that the standard has dropped slightly, and the taste and texture of some dim sum are not as good as before. However, looking at the choices in the area, it seems not easy to find a more unique tea drinking place, so this shop is still an acceptable choice.
The restaurant is decorated in old Chinese style, with a strong traditional restaurant style. Although it does not have a gorgeous design, the overall atmosphere is friendly and has a civilian feel, making it suitable for families or elders to enjoy tea. The price is acceptable and not too expensive, but compared to the quality of the food, the price-performance ratio can only be said to be average.
The restaurant has two floors. There are more people on holidays and it is often full. If you don't have a reservation or arrive late, you may have to wait for a table. Therefore, it is recommended to come as early as possible to avoid waiting for a long time. In addition, you need to pay attention to the parking arrangement here. There is a free two-hour parking lot next to the restaurant, which should be enough for customers who only come to dine. However, if you plan to drop by the supermarket next door for shopping after dinner, you may not have enough time, so you need to pay attention to the parking time limit. It is said that the illegal parking fines in this parking lot are quite controversial. Many people have been fined for exceeding the time limit or parking problems. Therefore, it is recommended to understand the parking rules before coming to avoid being petty.
Overall, although the standard of this tea house has declined, it is still an acceptable choice for drinking tea in the local area, suitable for simple gatherings or enjoying traditional Chinese dim sum. However, if you have higher food requirements, you may want to consider other options.

Unfortunately the older male waiter with glasses was extremely rude to me today, and embarrassed me in front of the restaurant. I was trying to order for takeaway and ordered the first dish, he immediately said ?that?s all, that?s all?? In a way that made me feel like he was too busy to take orders and I was too slow. I said no and I started to show him the dishes my friend asked me to get for her on my phone, but he then had some kind of strop and suddenly slammed his order pad on the table and walking away to do a bit of cleaning (I was a bit taken aback but just thought he was having a bit of a bad day), he then came back to where I was standing and I said that I was ready to order, then without a word he turned and walked straight off again, I still didn?t quite understand what was going on with him and wanted to complete the order for my friend, so waited a few more minutes and he came back and said in an angry voice ?what do you want?? (making me feel I had been somehow harassing him), I asked him why he was being rude to me, he asked me ?do you want to order or not??, I said yes, but he then got even more angry and told me to ?go away?.
I was extremely embarrassed and left, with other customers looking a bit shocked at what he was saying. If I hadn?t been asked to get some food for my friend I would have left at the beginning of this fiasco. Unfortunately although I?ve been coming here regularly for many years I will not be coming back. If he doesn?t like taking food orders from regular, paying customers then I suggest he shouldn?t be in a customer (un)service role.

I visited once in 2021, and the dim sum was not good. After giving it another chance, it has only gotten worse. The fried items were not crispy. I believe the frying oil was not fresh. The turnip cake was basically just starch with hardly any turnip. The jasmine tea had no flavor at all. Disappointed.

The best roast duck soup ever, great service.
Vegetarian options: No
Kid-friendliness: What do you mean.
Wheelchair accessibility: Good entrance and exit, great space around the tables, not too close together, also, table height. And space under.

While the food was decent, my overall experience was completely ruined by the ridiculous parking situation at this restaurant, and I feel compelled to warn others about it.
I arrived at 5:20 PM and left at 7:41 PM after enjoying starters and a main course with a friend I hadn?t seen in a long time. Now, both of us are expecting £100 penalty charges?each! This is totally unacceptable and leaves a sour taste after what should have been a relaxing evening.
What?s even more frustrating is that this restaurant is attached to a large superstore, so it?s entirely reasonable to expect people may need more than 2 hours, especially when combining dining with shopping. The fact that the restaurant got busier later in the evening also makes it highly likely that others will face the same issue.
I strongly urge the management to sort this out?whether by allowing customers to extend parking time, validate tickets, or even pay for extra time if needed. Until this is resolved, I will not be returning and would advise others to think twice before visiting unless they want to risk an unfair fine.

I was looking for An Nam restaurant and sadly couldn't find it and ended up here. The food is way too expensive. The drink is also too expensive. 5.50 for a small bottle of beer, 20 for prawn and ginger dish. I paid 45 for bbq ribs, "sizzling" ginger and prawn (which had no sizzle at all), egg fried rice and a small bottle of beer. The service was fast but I also felt rushed and I had the bill land without even asking me if I wanted another drink. The restaurant was also empty at peak time and that should tell you something. Way too many staff standing around staring at you which makes you feel uncomfortable.
So recommendation time. If you want dimsum, find a Chinese takeaway, but if you want a good 3 course meal, on my third night I went to the London Croydon Aerodrome Hotel (which is around the corner from where I'm staying) and I ordered 3 course and 2 actual pints of beer for £34 so costing less, more food and equally amazing service.
** I have no affiliation to the London Aerodrome Hotel. I'm in Croydon for 1 week on business and not even staying there because I found somewhere cheaper, but they'll serve you regardless.
