? 1/5 ? Very Disappointing Visit
I was really disappointed with this store. The game selection felt outdated, and the whole place looked dusty, cluttered, and poorly organized.
Customer service was unfortunately just as bad. The staff, including the manager, seemed uninterested and unapproachable. It?s clear from other reviews that poor attitude is a recurring issue, and yet nothing seems to be done about it.
There?s no sense of accountability or care for customers. Overall, the experience felt unprofessional and frustrating.
Honestly, you'd get far better service at CEX.
I wouldn?t recommend going out of your way to visit, especially given the rough location.

Big up plantation and heart of gaming!
Been going here regularly for years. Staff are always lovely and helpful and the range of games and systems is huge, everything from retro to import on any platform you can think of. Highly recommend

The shop is stocked well. Nothing how to fault that however pricing wise be-careful. I went to go purchase a white flare elite trainer box which they had one in stock. Lucky day! However ITS PRICED AT SCALPERS PRICING. I questioned both guys and the one with glasses was adamant with attitude that the pricing at £64.99. Clearly using EBay to reflect their pricing. But was ADAMANT that it is but which is a joke! ETB on Pokemon website is £56 ( which is more high value as it?s limited). Other places such as forbidden planet/symths/waterstone are selling it for £50. Check the screenshot below, about the RRP. But clearly they ?assume? they know what they are talking about. The other guy tried to get a word in but could?nt speak alter but the guy with glasses ? thought. You should advertise yourselves as RESELLERS IF ANYTHING ELSE. Hopefully I won?t ever need to come back again to this place because they don?t know about actual facts! I can definitely see why they are empty every-time I come in. Overall, product is not priced accurately according to RRP and that staff are very condescending and rude when questioning them about retail practice.

Better than expected shopping experience. Staff at the desk are friendly and willing to help. This shop has a good variety of retro titles - many that are not stocked by competing stores. Be kind and I believe you will have a good experience.

The person working the counter wasn?t the kind of person you?d want representing a game shop like this. I?m an active TCG player and a serious collector, especially into Digimon and gaming in general. When I walked in, he asked if he could help, so I asked about Switch 2 games. It sounded like he said yes, but then he immediately put his head down and walked off to continue talking with someone else, which came across as very dismissive.
At first, I thought he was going to show me where the Switch 2 games were, but when I followed up by asking if they were new, he just muttered something, kept focusing on the other guy?s cards, and then told me to check Argos. I was going to ask about the latest Digimon TCG set and was ready to buy a box, but I felt so brushed off that I just gave up.
I get that I might not look like your typical TCG or game nerd, but trust me, I?m probably more into it than anyone else in that shop. This kind of attitude is exactly why I don?t enjoy interacting in stores like this. You can tell when someone is judging you based on how you look. I?ll stick with Brotherhood Games in East London from now on, even though I?m based in Croydon. They?re far more welcoming and treat everyone with respect, regardless of appearance.
If this shop assistant really wants to understand how much of a nerd I am, feel free to check out my Digimon YouTube channel, Digital World Order. That alone proves I?m exactly the kind of person who should be your customer. I?m literally the definition of your target audience.

I?ve never really had a problem with the store, but today I walked in and asked about a certain item. I got the most blunt response, like the guy didn?t care. I don?t know if he was having a bad day, but if you?re going to sit at the main counter, at least put up a front.

Friendly staff. However, opening hours are not accurate. Turned up on a Tuesday at 12 to return a faulty game. Shop was closed, despite saying on Google it opens at 12 pm. I sat outside for 15 minutes but still closed. Please update opening times if these are incorrect.
Edit: thanks for reply. Totally understand staff illness happens. I did check Facebook at the time and nothing was there. I saw you put out a post on FB at about 12.35pm. Just as a point of genuine and honest feedback: it would have been helpful to have put the message out at or before 12pm. Thanks anyway- I appreciate the response.

This shop is connected straight to an arcade upstairs, which is fitting when you see what kinds of things they sell. A lot of merchandise and games from gaming and anime culture. You will find consoles, used and new games, figures, roleplaying cards and other cool things!
The staff were super friendly and very knowledgeable on a lot of franchises featured in the store.
