Homeless people use the front of the shop as a toilet. The drive way to get in and out is terrible if you're driving. You have to enter your car registration if you park there, they say the signage is clear but it isn't. The two stars are for the staff who work there, they're great.

Access for disabled people, staff are polite, as much as it can be busy queuing for long goes down pretty quick. Shelves are mostly always in stock, I can?t moan too much.
Plenty of parking spaces but car park can be full as they have a gym next door

On 31/05/25 around 11:49am at Lidl West Croydon, my partner and I were racially profiled by the security guard. He followed us around the store, intimidated us, and then confronted us at the self-checkout while we were paying for our shopping. He demanded to see our bags with no reason, despite clearly seeing us pay.
When we refused, he grabbed my arm and my partner?s bag, physically trying to stop us from leaving. Even after falling to the floor, he still wouldn?t let go. He then loudly accused my partner of being a criminal ? a completely false and offensive claim. All our shopping was paid for.
The manager, Lucien, arrived but offered no real support and refused to give the guard?s name. This was a clear case of racial profiling, and we left feeling humiliated and targeted. Lidl needs to take accountability and review their staff and security conduct immediately.
