I first dealt with James Chiltern back in 2019 when I met Mathew for an appraisal. After dealing with several pushy estate agents, I found Mathew's approach to be refreshing and was impressed by his knowledge of both the market and the local area.I also met with the owner, Ayyaz, and was equally impressed with his knowledge and for his enthusiasm for the area. After receiving sound advice on both the sales and rental options, I decided to proceed with their letting service.Ayyaz took a great set of professional photos, and his attention to detail was evident when liaising with me on the property particulars.In just a few days, a tenant was found, and after the referencing was completed, we agreed on the asking price.I subsequently used James Chiltern in 2023, and another tenant was found in a matter of days and at the asking price. On that occasion, I dealt with Chris in the lettings department, who worked quickly and efficiently; always keeping me posted on new developments.Due to James Chiltern's professionalism and high level of service, I decided to refer them to my neighbour, and unsurprisingly, they quickly found a quality, long-term tenant.It has been a pleasure working with Ayyaz and his team, and I have always received a warm welcome when visiting the office on London Road. I will definitely continue to use James Chiltern and will recommend to neighbours, friends, and family.

They left a sign up at my property for two years. When a staff member came to my property I asked them to remove it and was threatened by him quote ?I know where you live?. Despite me escalating this many times via calls and emails to their office, they have consistently refused to take it down. Avoid.

I have no hesitation in recommending James Chiltern since, from the initial meeting until the completion of the sale of our house, Ayaz and Chris were responsive and helpful. The sale went through without a hitch, and Ayaz and Chris were a pleasure to deal with?they were well-organized, polite, and fast to answer any questions we had. Meeting them was a delight. Been with James Chiltern from 2015 until last week when we moved out of the area. A very professional team lead by Ayazz, friendly, polite and know there stuff. Any issues as a tenant was dealt with, professional and with care. If you popped in for any reason it was more like seeing some friends rather than an agency. A big thank you to Ayazz and Matt for all the help and advise over the years, I will miss our chats about the latest film or new movie collectable. Any one looking to rent or someone to manage there property, speak to James Chiltern. One of the best.
