I visited this store on Thursday 7 March 2024.It has been several years since I have come in person and as a person with reduced mobility, it was not a pleasant experience.I used the bus service to get there . The entrance is on a small trading estate and to get there I had to walk through a parking space which Is behind a long wall .There Is only one entrance and exit and therefore this means an unnecessarily long walk round to the door, particularly if carrying a bag or on crutches. The front door opens automatically and there is a small lift to the upper floor. Despite it being relatively early in the morning, there was no staff presence immediately visible. Therefore nobody to ask where I could find Aida cloth, which I wanted to buy. I went upstairs and after walking around for approximately 15 minutes I could not see what I wanted .The signage was inadequate and again no staff presence.Returning downstairs, and by now quite breathless I finally located 2 members of staff by the names of sue and Tia. They Were very helpful and Tia located the Aida cloth from upstairs and brought it down for me. Sue gave me a stool to Sit On . I was not surprised that there were only 3 staff assigned that morning, because this was one of the reasons I had initially stopped visiting this store. The service if anything has got worse.Shopping for crafts is not like picking up tins of baked beans in a supermarket.Hobbycraft, after cornering the market in what was once a thriving haberdashery market seems indifferent to crafters needs and particularly those of us with a disability .?

I've never been to Hobbycraft before, but it's actually a really lovely place. We spent about 40 minutes looking thoroughly at all the items. Highly recommended. You get a discount on your first purchase if you install the app.

A good variety of arts and crafts, also wedding supplies. I'd like a larger range of wedding artificial flowers as each time I've gone they've had a small range of similar flowers. But the staff are lovely and the rest of the store is great.

Unbelievable what you can find in this little gem tucked away next to Sainsbury Purley way.

Not a bad place to go if you need some arts and crafts materials in the hurry but expect to pay more than twice the price of buying the same off Amazon. There?s a loyalty scheme but they?re a little value in joining other than the £5 birthday voucher. Staff are knowledgeable about certain hobbies so worth going if you need the advice or just to browse what?s available.

One stop place for all your crafts, painting, drawing, baking, sewing and knitting needs! Lots of good bargains! Love their storage trays. Quite sturdy and spacious to store children?s homework or books! Staff are quite knowledgeable and helpful.
