Extensive drinks menu from coffees to ice lattes to milkshakes.

The staff is unsure about the size of drinks on the menu. Luxury mocha was served in a regular cup.
Tables were in extremely dirty condition.

Went for coffee with a friend on 16/08/24. I frequently have coffee in George Street Caffe Nero but was very shocked because the tables were dirty. There was only one staff serving the customers. I asked the staff to clean the table but it was not done so I took a tissue from my handbag and clean the table. Other customers came in and were complaining about the dirty tables. Maybe this branch was under new management. When my friend and I was about to leave another member of staff appeared and again I asked for the table to be cleared and cleaned but it was not done. There was also litter on the floor. Due to the state of the atmosphere with dirty tables and litter on the floor my friend and I only had a cup of coffee.

It is very apparent that there is a need for more staff as the service is slower than expected. However the staff that were there were superb.

Well, they served me a coffee, but seemed stressed out, no smile, no eye contact. Not sure why you would want to come buy £5 coffee cup here.

As to be expected. A haven from the daily travails. Just sitting in there on leather seats and watching the world go by is worth every penny.
